Our Favorite Orange Carpet Looks From The 2022 KCAs!

Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards is all about the fans – across the nation, entertainment viewers are able to vote on all of their favorite people and events from the past year, and the celebration culminates with a hefty dose of slime and the signature Orange Blimp award. 2022 saw some epic highs and lows with beloved categories like Favorite Movie alongside newcomer awards like Favorite Social Music Star. Everyone’s favorite sea sponge, SpongeBob SquarePants, won Favorite Cartoon, and absolutely no one was surprised when Olivia Rodrigo took home the Favorite Female TV Star for her performance as Nini in "High School Musical: The Musical - The Series." 

However, the best part of the night is the orange carpet. Seeing what all of our favorite stars are wearing before they get slimed – and green goop makes everyone look better, as we all know! 

1. Miranda Cosgrove 

Stunning in Nickelodeon’s signature color, Cosgrove was wearing the most fun orange minidress, with studded glitter and feather embellishments to complete the over-the-top look. Golden heels and a trendy updo gave this KCA host one of the best looks of the night!

2. Peyton List

The Pley Beauty founder looked exquisite in an all-black ensemble – one ever-so casual for such a fun event. Sheer lace finished off a diamond-studded Dolce & Gabbana crop top, matched with black satin trousers. A trendy half-up ponytail and 2022's best accessory -- the sheer glove -- completed List’s walk on the orange carpet. 

3. Isaiah Crews

Crews looked ready for Spring in his pastel pink ensemble! His varying shades of pink underneath were offset by a fun-loving leather jacket, the sage and dusty rose complimented by the black panther and crown patches. Just the right amount of camp fashion for the night. 

4. Halle & Chloe Bailey

Taking the face card, per usual, are pop duo sisters Halle and Chloe. The choice to be individuals in their clothing but still stand together as a team was such a power move. Halle looked darling in a creamy, patterned asymmetrical dress, while Chloe looked incredible in a 2000s body-hugging dress of black with neon-yellow accents. 

5. Sabrina Carpenter 

Fresh off of her newest release, “Fast Times”, Carpenter looked phenomenal in a black and pink midi-dress with extremely strategic cutouts. The funky colors mixed with eye-catching rhinestones transported us right back to the early-2000s, but her peep-toe platforms and curtain bangs made the look totally 2022. 

The KCAs were held on April 9th, 2022, at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. The night was hosted by iCarly star Miranda Cosgrove and NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski. Check out the full list of winners here!
