FASHION FRIDAY: Nail Art!

Nikki Novak here in the Young Hollywood Studio and today we are talking, guess what, nails specifically nail art. This was so hot for spring summer, but it doesn't look like it's going away anytime soon because let's face it. The ladies love expressing themselves through their digits. So, we first saw this look in the summer with Olympic gold medalist swimmers like Dana Vollmer and Rebecca Soni, because they can't express themselves through their fashion, through their hair, through their makeup in the pool, but they could sport the bright nails. And speaking of Olympic gold medalists, I just sat down with Missy May Trainer who was sporting a darker, more vampy shade.

She told me she's excited, now that she's retired from professional volleyball, that she can finally wear nail color. Nail art has even found its way onto the campaign trail. Katy Perry just showed her support for Obama by wearing very patriotic nail colors, where Ann Romney showed support for her man when she showed up at the presidential Town Hall debate wearing turquoise. So, which one gets your vote? And in Hollywood, Caroline Sunshine, the star of Shake It Up, loves to shake it up with her nails. She was recently in our studio supporting an all black and white palette. She takes it even a step further. She goes in and custom designs every nail to be different.

She even had a little tuxedo on one of her fingers. And the epitome of high fashion every year is the L Women in Hollywood event where Busy Philipps showed up on the white carpet wearing the reverse French manicure look in a matching color palette to her very colorful outfit. Now go get those nails done, ladies.
