Everything We Know So Far About "The White Lotus" Season 4!

Written by Rafa Vargas. Published: March 11 2026

Few television shows have mastered the art of the ensemble cast quite like T"he White Lotus". Over the past 3 seasons, the anthology series has become known not only for its satirical take on wealth but also for its eclectic cast. With Season 4 now in development, creator Mike White is once again assembling a cast that promises to bring a new wave of chaotic guests to the luxurious resort. While details about the upcoming season remain limited, the first casting announcements are already generating excitement about who will be checking into the next White Lotus!

Where Will Season 4 Be Set?

The fourth season of "The White Lotus" will take place in St. Tropez at the Château de la Messardière, a 19th-century palace turned luxury hotel. Filming is expected to begin in April and last through October, capturing the beautiful Summer nights and simmering suspense we have come to expect from the show.

What Will the Season 4 be About?

We have yet to discover any of the season’s plot, and we likely won’t until the show begins. However, as with every season of "The White Lotus", we will follow several concurrent storylines among hotel guests and employees, with a murder mystery at the center of the story.

Who is in the Cast of Season 4?

Over the past 3 seasons, the cast of "The White Lotus" has become almost as iconic as the show’s lavish, sun-soaked settings. Mike White famously maintains an unusual rule: every actor is paid the same amount per episode, regardless of their "star power". The policy removes hierarchy from the ensemble and reinforces the show’s focus on character and story rather than celebrity status.

Even so, the equal pay structure has hardly discouraged major stars from joining the series. That enthusiasm is already evident with the first actor announced for the upcoming season: Helena Bonham Carter. Many fans are already speculating that she may step into the season’s signature eccentric socialite archetype previously played by Jennifer Coolidge in Seasons 1 and 2 and Parker Posey in Season 3.

The newly announced cast blends recognizable stars with intriguing newcomers, continuing the show’s tradition of mixing established actors with fresh faces. Alexander Ludwig, perhaps best known for playing the arena tribute Cato in The Hunger Games, joins the ensemble alongside AJ Michalka of the pop duo Aly & AJ

The lineup also includes British comedian Steve Coogan, widely recognized for his iconic portrayal of Alan Partridge. They are joined by newcomers Caleb Jonte Edwards, Dylan Ennis, and model Marissa Long

Several seasoned performers round out the cast, including: Chris Messina, known for his roles in Argo and the HBO miniseries "Sharp Objects"; veteran comedian and actress Sandra Bernhard, who appeared for multiple seasons of "Roseanne"  and recently had a cameo in Severance and is also known for her role in Martin Scorsese’s The King of Comedy; and Ari Graynor, who most recently appeared in "Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story".

The season will also feature a strong French presence. Iconic French actor Vincent Cassel, known internationally for La Haine and Hollywood projects like Ocean's TwelveOcean's Thirteen, and Black Swan, joins the cast alongside rising French actresses Nadia Tereszkiewicz and Corentin Fila, known for the French Amazon Prime Video series "Escort Boys", which ran for two seasons.

When Will Season Four be Released?

As of now, writing for the 4th season is still underway, and no official release date has been announced. However, British Vogue has speculated that the next installment could arrive as early as 2027. Stay tuned!
