Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed: July 23, 2026

Young Hollywood is committed to making younghollywood.com usable by the widest possible audience, including people who rely on assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, speech-recognition software, and keyboard-only navigation.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. These guidelines are the international benchmark for making web content accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities. Accessibility is an ongoing effort — this site is regularly tested with automated tools and manual keyboard / screen-reader review, and we log the fixes we ship.

What we've done

  • Semantic HTML with clear heading structure and landmark regions.
  • Alt text on editorial images; decorative images marked as such.
  • Keyboard-operable navigation with visible focus indicators.
  • Labels on form fields (search, newsletter, contact).
  • Color contrast tuned to meet WCAG AA on core reading surfaces.
  • Skip-to-content link for keyboard and screen-reader users.
  • Captions available on video content where provided by the source.

Known limitations

Some parts of the site rely on third-party services that we do not control. These may not always meet WCAG 2.2 AA:

  • Embedded video players (JW Player, YouTube). Where captions are available on the source we surface them; if a video you need is missing captions or a transcript, contact us and we will provide a text alternative on request.
  • Embedded social posts (Instagram, TikTok, X).
  • Third-party advertising creatives served into ad slots by programmatic ad networks — creative content is chosen by the advertiser and is outside our editorial control.
  • Older archived articles imported from legacy systems.
  • Downloadable documents (PDFs) are not currently published on this site. If we add them in the future, we will publish tagged / accessible versions and note any exceptions here.

If you hit a barrier in any of these areas — or anywhere else — please tell us, and we'll work with you to get you the information or functionality you need.

Report an accessibility barrier

We take accessibility feedback seriously. Our response commitment:

  • Acknowledgement within 5 business days of receiving your report.
  • Resolution or a documented workaround within 30 calendar days for issues we can remediate directly. Where a fix depends on a third party (video player, social embed, ad network) we will tell you and offer an accessible alternative in the meantime.

When you contact us, please include the page URL, a short description of the barrier, and the assistive technology or browser you're using so we can reproduce and fix the issue as quickly as possible.

Ongoing review

We review this statement periodically and update it as the site evolves. If you'd like to see our accessibility work in progress or suggest a priority, reach out to the address above.
