Picking up where Wicked (2024) left off, Wicked: For Good follows Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), who’s been labeled the “Wicked Witch of the West” by the public after rebelling against the Wizard of Oz (Jeff Goldblum), and Glinda (Ariana Grande), who’s just been positioned as the Wizard’s spokesperson.

The film’s score mostly consists of songs from the second act of the beloved Broadway musical but also features 2 new songs: Elphaba’s “No Place Like Home" and Glinda’s “The Girl in the Bubble". Here’s our ranking of our 5 favorite songs from the film!

5. "Wonderful"

If you’re looking for a more upbeat song, this one’s for you! Despite Wicked: For Good having a much darker tone than Wicked, "Wonderful" still has that fun, whimsical sound that many fans of the first movie can’t get enough of! That being said, the song’s deceitful lyrics contrast a lot with its fun, Vaudevillian style. Since it's the Wizard’s solo song in the Broadway musical, making it a duet between the Wizard and Glinda for the movie adds some really fun harmonies but also emphasizes how complicit Glinda is in the Wizard’s schemes.

4. "Thank Goodness / I Couldn’t Be Happier"

This is another song that sounds cheery but whose lyrics tell a different story. In this song, Glinda’s engagement to Fiyero (Jonathan Bailey) is announced to the citizens of Oz. So she couldn’t be happier... right? Wrong! The citizens continue to spread lies about Elphaba, but Glinda’s position of power forces her to keep a happy face despite the doubt and guilt she feels internally. As the song builds, Grande’s powerful, heartfelt vocals add to Glinda’s vulnerability, and her emotions are palpable!

3. "As Long As You’re Mine"

As sad as it is that this is Jonathan Bailey’s only song in the film, it definitely does NOT disappoint! With its passionate lyrics and powerful vocals, Elphaba and Fiyero use this steamy duet to finally profess their love for one another. Erivo and Bailey’s voices blend together seamlessly, and the crazy vocals as they belt their hearts out will leave you wanting to put this song on repeat!

2. "For Good"

If you’re wondering whether or not this song lives up to being the namesake of the film, it does! This emotional duet follows Glinda and Elphaba as they share a heartfelt goodbye. As their characters reflect on the impact they’ve had on one another’s lives, the raw emotion in Grande and Erivo’s vocals is sure to tug at your heartstrings!

1. "No Good Deed"

As amazing as the score of Wicked: For Good is, it’s pretty safe to say that there was no competition for the #1 spot on our list! Featuring some insane vocals from Cynthia Erivo, this song is a major turning point for Elphaba, as she ultimately decides to lean into her "wicked" identity. The sheer power and raw emotion in Erivo’s voice will surely leave you with goosebumps!
