such a bad accent. What are you trying? I'm gonna go to war for this accent. Are you gonna do a with the boys of the Final Girls. How are you?

The Boys

Yeah, we are rolling. Yeah. The boys of the Final Girls. The boys. We dem boys. We're in the house. We dem boys. Wait, can I can you keep doing that and I'll add in a sound effect? We dem boys. We dem boys. Uh-huh. We dem boys. Please your ass. I flew out here all my Nexus. I'm in Austin, Texas. Don't know where I'm going, but I love the world. We own the boys called Final Girls. Everybody let's get messed up. Everybody let's get messed up. Everybody let's go and cheers. Add him. Now chug your beer. Woo! Yeah! Yeah!

Young Hollywood

And we've got the interview. and that's the wrap. Thank you guys. Thank you so much. Thank you, thank you. So, director of the Final Girls. Yep. Um, we just interviewed the boys together, the girls together. They're a rowdy ass bunch. Yeah. Were they How did you wrangle them all? You were like the wrangler.

The Boys

No, we were all the same. You were you were part of it. You were joining in the madness. It was all of us together and the crew was also just like this really young. Everyone was like 35 or under making this movie. It was like a bunch of young kids love this summer camp.

Young Hollywood

I love like you're you're so young to be, you know, at the helm of such a film. Wow. It got a good New York Times from.

The Boys

I didn't I didn't ask for this bone structure. I'm doing the best with what I got. Thank you so much for saying that. Um, no, yeah. It was a young cast. We were a lot a lot of us were friends before we shot the movie and um, yeah, it wasn't easy to wrangle them. It all just felt like we kind of got what was cool about what we were doing and it felt like we were all kind of getting away with something. Yeah. Where no one was paying attention. You know what I mean? Like Yeah. Um, yeah, it was a cool vibe. Hey, hands. That guitar is choice. Thanks, Blake. Bitch and hair. Okay. So, we're in the movie. Uh-huh. How do we get out of here?

Young Hollywood

Yeah, I like that question. That's a really really good question. Duncan, can you answer that question, please?

The Boys

What are you talking about? It's 1986. Our homes don't exist yet. They're probably just landfills waiting to be turned into crappy subdivisions. We don't exist yet. I know for a fact my parents haven't met because I was an unplanned child. Anyone want to help me pick some strawberries? Nope. Not I'll give you a hand with those melons. Talking about her boobs. You guys get me, right? Yeah, we do, brother.

Young Hollywood

Hey, so go through the casting. How did you get I mean this is a great cast. Very attractive, young, cool cast.

The Boys

Yeah. Yeah. And so I was friends with some like Thomas, I knew for a long time and I just showed him this script and I was like, who do you wanna be? You just pick one. He was like, Duncan. I was like, wow, you're in. No problem. That would be an actor's dream to get the get the script and you can pick pick pick whatever role you want. No one comes close. And Adam, I knew Devine we had met previously and he was exactly. I mean, he's you met him. He's very much belongs in a crop top. being horrible to women. It's like seven and a half inches, but it's perky. So, seven and a half butt? Dude, you're doing okay. Bro culture handshake. Bro culture handshake. That is a very bro in your handshake. That was bro culture. Bro culture. So that's what it is. It's like in the in the this is the bump. This is like we do what's up what's up? Bro culture. We're we're just showing each other our biceps. Can I get another? There's nobody here working like Adam just he thinks he's so famous now that he can just call out he's like he was on the street all the time. He's like, give him another one. Nobody works though. Um The thing is if it works once, you just keep doing it. We're in Austin. It probably does work. And since Alexander's over there, let's talk about him. Alexander I knew from his movies and honestly sort of initially pictured the role of Chris to be a little bit different, a little bit more everyman, not as hunky and attractive and but he had read that script and he really loved it and he really wanted to campaign for it. And he wrote me a really lovely email. I think a series of emails. He is that kind of guy, isn't he? Yeah, and he really and he said all the right things. He got the movie, he got what was cool about it. He promised me he'd lose those abs, get rid of those abs. He wanted to play regular guy. Is that why he's drinking beer today? Yeah, he sent me a lot of shirtless pics of watching him lose the abs, no more protein. He said. Usually it's going the other way for all. Yeah, yeah, he had to get a little bit regular looking. And and so and we cast him and he was really great. The girls all said that you taught Malin and dance. I'll stand up with you. You teach me to dance. I love that. Got that meat. I really don't do this very often. Look at this body. Take off your shirt. They're all Canadian. Look at it, boy. All right, what is it? We're like I don't know what she's talking about. I really don't you say. Yeah. There it is. There it is. There we go. There it is. It felt it felt good. It felt good. Bro culture. Oh, you got on him. I just like sucked on in. Are you being positive? Are you working out? I did. I sucked I sucked on in. That's the most positive it'll ever get. I guess a lot of tongue in cheek sort of paying homage and sort of spoofing in a way. horror and also sort of making fun of the tropes of the movieness of those movies. So they can queue flashbacks. They're aware of slow motion when they're stuck in it. And they can see the credits rolling when the credits exists. So there's a lot of kind of breaking the fourth wall and it's really exciting for me as a guy that grew up just loving movies. As a kid that just loved and lived in movies. He watched four movies a day.

Young Hollywood

So what movie do you want to be trapped in? Oh, my God. I'm definitely I'm asking you. I'm going there.

The Boys

My God. Eyes wide shut. What's that vacation movie that they've been spawned? They all did the vacation couple's retreat. Oh, yeah. Mom was in that.

Young Hollywood

You want to be trapped in a horrible movie?

The Boys

Oh, yeah. fired Malin. It's pretty funny. Yeah, I said her movie was no good, so it's probably actually. You want to go on vacation? Malin and John Favreau? I've actually weirdly ran into John Favreau like five times and each time I'm really drunk. I've told a lot of stories like this recently when I'm really drunk. And every time he's like, I have a problem. Okay, man. And what do you say to him? I guess I won't be in couples' retreat two. It is what it is. But I will be in Iron Man seven. All right. I could be trapped in the Hudsucker Proxy. I like that movie. Uh, I want to be trapped in millions. Richard Pryor and John Goodman and he's gotta spend like a million millions of bucks. Uh, and I always thought that was so cool cuz uh, you know, how much fun would it be to be like stupid rich. I would carry a pocket of jewels. Would you? Would you pass if you were really rich, I would just have a pocket of rubies and and then when like homeless people go like, hey, can I get some change? I would say something like, I want you to change your life. Yeah, right? I'd want to be in the last sequence of Requiem for a Dream. Just on loop. Oh my gosh. Hey man. Are you okay? Yeah, dude. Bro culture. I don't know.

Young Hollywood

So since this is a horror comedy. Mhm. Is it? Have you ever had a blind date or a first date that was so horrifying it was like a comedy? Oh, my gosh. Oh, here. Hi Charlie. This one's for you. Oh no. I'm sure you have your mail files cuz he's just sharp in here.

The Boys

We dem boys. We dem boys. Bro culture. Since since I have taken her out and made up for this cuz it was pretty pretty terrible. I took her out on a date and we got a little I got a little too drunk and I threw up on her and on the woman. Kicked out of where we were. Um, yeah, it was awful. And then but then I made it up to her and I think she's happy. Just texted her, so it's good.

Young Hollywood

Did she respond?

The Boys

Yeah, yeah, no. I took her out. I did the the big apology and then No, no, I mean, when I the apology was like two years later.

Young Hollywood

Okay. She's still talking to you. Wow. Yeah, it was pretty interesting. You're still making amends. Yeah. Mhm.

The Boys

I've never had a bad date.

Young Hollywood

Okay. Okay, Mr. Romantic.

The Boys

I just nail it out of the park every time. The first dates I usually crush. It's date three where they're like, I don't like this guy. Heart pass on him. You realize you're totally crazy. Yeah. All right. Right here. We're okay. We're just. We're going to We're going to take thank you. I get both of you. Thank you for caring some. You got any stories you'd like to share? Any stories went on dates? Oh, no. Everything's gone very smoothly. So smoothly, in fact, I'm engaged. He's engaged. I'm I'm engaged to a human woman. Wow. She's even got hair and eyebrows. All over her arms. All over her arms. So you said hair. You said hair, so.

The Boys

Bro culture. You train in the mountains. So that when you're like normal and you can like really side control out. other men. This is all like such bro culture that I'm like I can't

Young Hollywood

You talked to the girls first now you're talking to the guys and this is bro culture. And we're going to have to we're gonna have to wrap it up. Can we go out with a movie?
