Hi guys, I'm Audrey Cleo for Young Hollywood, hanging out on the set of Parachute's new music video for can't help and I can't help myself. I'm going to get an inside look.
I can't help myself from falling in love, from falling in love with you.
Yeah. Hanging out with Will and Johnny from Parachute on the set of their new music video for can't help. Thanks for letting us hang out with you guys.
Come on. This is fun.
I have Nate, Alex, and Kit, also from Parachute, hanging out on the set of their new music video. Um, so tell me what it's like to shoot a music video like this.
Uh, it it reminds me why I'm a musician and not an actor. I know that. It's very uh, it's a lot of waiting around but it's fun when you're doing it, it's fun to be on set, but
And, wait, rolling.
shooting anything, video, or film, or anything, it's it's always takes a while. Before you even get to see it. So.
Speaking of the actor thing, I saw, was it you that tweeted out that you were coming to terms with being a terrible actor?
Yeah, that's me. That was absolutely me.
Okay. Please explain. Please elaborate. I refuse to believe that.
I just uh, no, I wasn't put on this earth to to act. Some people were. I have a lot of friends who are really incredible actors and actresses, but for me, I don't think that was my job. So, I don't want anything to do with it.
I think you're a great actor, Will.
Thank you, man. Thank you.
We're getting a new music video where he stars in one day. Someday soon.
Will's usually been the subject of the uh, music video. I think the next one, it's just going to be me and a whole bunch of girls. It's Johnny's turn.
Yep.
I've got Johnny from Parachute who's taking me inside the set of their new music video. You are my tour guide today.
I've got makeup, action. This is my makeup. We got did up. Uh, as you can see, this is kind of more of Nate's, uh, you know, skin tone right here. A little bit more Irish. Uh, but yeah, no, that's where we got pampered, primped, ready for the show.
I like how you just hijacked my microphone.
Yeah, yeah. This is where we did our performance shot. This is uh, keyboard land aka nerd land. This is where Kit was living. I was up on the uh, mighty drum throne there.
Will, the song is called, Can't Help. Tell me what it's all about.
It might be about a girl. It might be maybe. It's a good, I don't know, it's just a good fun pop tune, you know, we wanted to do. Now, we, we, we wrote it, I wrote it with a guy named Ryan Tedder and a young up and coming band called One Republic. And he and I wrote it initially with CeeLo Green in mind cuz he was looking for songs in that style, but I like the song so much that I just stole it for our band. So, we just it worked out great and it's just a fun song. We just wanted something upbeat and positive and a good time. I wanted to be a party song. A really really fun song that when you kick it on, people start moving.
Get the children dancing.
Get them dancing. Indeed.
Yeah. Moving on, we got wardrobe over here. That's the most exciting part.
Oh, let's let's do it. I want to see what you guys had to choose from today.
So, I took a I took a long time. I tried on like 18 different outfits. Alex here probably tried on like, what? One?
Yeah, at least one.
He just looked at him and he's like, you're set. Done. Yeah. Go for it. That's it.
How much of this stuff do you plan on taking home? Cuz like that this looks
We're we're going to try to take as much as we possibly can. I I already called dibs on this jacket right here.
Where's your denim?
Oh, I guess it's just I got like jeans on, but that's about it. Yeah, that's what I have on. You can't see it. I don't do the Canadian tuxedo.
Denim underwear.
What would you call Parachute's music?
Big soulful rock pop.
Okay. With a hint of country twang. All right, and we are heading towards an elevator to where does this elevator go?
This elevator goes actually to nowhere. Um, or to our wildest fantasies, either one.
Where's the help but Oh, here we go. Fire Oh. Fireman.
Yeah, it isn't it now. See, why would they have that on the outside? Oh, this is the inside. See, I didn't even realize that. We're on the inside of the elevator right now. I see, you'd be sitting here for a while. And it going nowhere.
And there's there's 13th floor. Yeah, that's a little that's a little bizarre. Uh, we actually requested not to have 13th floor, but for some reason that didn't go through. Um, so I'll have to talk to my management about that.
Yeah, you're gonna have to talk to somebody about that. What would you say are your touring essentials? What do you have to have when you're out on the road?
Uh, Dice, laptop, a pillow. It's kind of Some would say a stuffed animal, but it's definitely not. Yeah, it's it's geared towards comfort. Yeah, it's definitely. Uh, and it's actually a 52
On your ex-girlfriends called it a stuffed animal, it's so weird.
Yeah, yeah, well, let's just say I've lost a couple of uh, girlfriends because of it.
Now, we are at the grand finale of the tour. This is the only part that's air conditioned, uh, and we have our fancy monitor. I wish something was up there to to show, but uh, when you're not doing a take, uh, you can just sit back here, watch your fellow bandmates do a take and uh, you know, pick apart the catering station. You can see we destroyed that. That's this is where Nate spent most of his time.
Uh-huh. What would you say is like your number one pick? Oh, let's just go ahead and go out on tour with you two. You know, why not? No big deal.
No, the one the one, we're from Dave Matthews Band's hometown. So, they are honestly it's just it's not even uh, that's my favorite band right now. It's more just uh, we we've been talking about it so long that it needs to happen. So, someday, someday soon. I just want to be able to watch them every night, really.
Yeah, that'd be really nice.
Well, thanks so much for taking me inside and letting me hang out with you. You you know, in case this band thing doesn't work out, I think you have a future as a tour guide on music video sets. It's very specific, I know.
Well, thank you. I don't believe you, but thank you.
