Monet McMichael is a 23-year-old Jersey native who has built a massive TikTok following (3.6 million as of this writing) over the past year as a social media influencer. She’s known as the “girls’ girl” who posts beauty tutorials, vlogs, and “get ready with me” videos that feel like you’re on a FaceTime call with your bestie! She has drawn viewers from all over the world thanks to her bubbly personality and authentic approach to content creation.

In May 2022, Monet earned her nursing degree from Rutgers University! Before the brand deals, trips, and TikTok fame, Monet was a student, posting videos with her friends. In an interview with Forbes, she mentioned, “I’m so glad I graduated and got my degree. I learned so much in nursing school that could never be taken away from me; about myself, being an adult, and all the amazing things in the medical field.”

Subsequently, Monet began pursuing content creation full-time after this TikTok of hers went viral, where she started delving deeper into her passions!

Oh, and speaking of Forbes… Monet landed a spot on the Forbes Top Creators List at No.47! She is among a list of 49 other honorees who have all amassed a total of 2.6 billion followers and an estimated $700 million in earnings. Other creators on the list include Alix Earle, Emma Chamberlain, Charli and Dixie D’Amelio, Mr. Beast, Kai Cenat, and Druski. Monet’s dedicated engagement of 13% to her followers across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube platforms has led her to $4 million in earnings at just 23 years old!

In her short time of becoming a full-time content creator, Monet has scored some prestigious brand collaborations, which include, YSL Beauty, Nars, Mac, Tarte, Charlotte Tilbury, Makeup by Mario, Lancôme, and many more! In 2021, her very first brand deal came from Priyanka Chopra’s hair care brand Anomaly, and Monet explained how shocked she was when she noticed the company in her DMs: “I was like, 'Mom, what is this? They're asking my rates. What do I do? What do I say?' I’ll never forget it.”

Monet’s most recent collaboration was with L’Oréal for Paris Fashion Week! She even got to walk in their show under the Eiffel Tower – what a dream!

In a YouTube vlog from earlier this year, Monet detailed how a “cute boy” slid into her DMs and gushed that the new relationship was “going well”, just without one significant detail… his name!

There was lots of speculation that she and "Love Island USA" alum Jalen Noble were dating. “Certified internet detectives” and followers of both Monet and Jalen tried making connections, piecing details together and formulating a theoretical relationship timeline. “Some of y’all want to be detectives so bad… Some of your guesses had me shook,” Monet joked in the vlog. The couple hard-launched their relationship in April, posting a series of the sweetest clips of them together, following a soft launch earlier in the month!

So what’s next for Monet? In an interview with Women's Wear Daily, Monet shared that her goal for 2023 was to step outside of her comfort zone – and from walking in Paris Fashion Week to collaborating with some of beauty’s biggest names, she can check that one off the list!

Monet isn’t limiting herself to just one niche and is currently “loving it all”. She is excited to dive more into fashion and lifestyle, with hopes of working with her dream collaborator Rihanna one day!
