VIRAL ALERT: Danielle Bernstein
In 2010, at the tender age of 18, fashion student Danielle Bernstein began a street style blog titled “We Wore What”. Now, seven years later, the blog is a highly regarded sartorial website, and Bernstein herself is a household name in the fashion world. The Great Neck, New York, native, who is now based out of New York City, uses Instagram and her high-profile blog to post outfit inspos, interior design tips, and to promote her own fashion-forward entrepreneurial ventures.
Not only has her fashion diary garnered an impressive 1.6 million followers on Instagram, but she is also an accomplished shoe, clothing, and peel-and-stick jewery creator, and even sometimes a celebrity stylist. In the past, she has styled another social media queen Claudia Oshry, the founder and creator of the hilarious meme account titled “The Girl With No Job”. She was also featured as a guest judge on “Project Runway: All Stars” in 2014.
One of Bernstein’s many projects is Second Skin Overalls, her clothing company, which produces trendy overalls in variety of colors and patterns. The best part is, the fabric won’t stretch out after you wear them. A true indicator of her mass appeal, the company made over $40k in three hours when they were initially released. Not to mention, all of the patterns on the overalls are done by hand and the fabric is high-quality and extremely durable. As a self-proclaimed overall lover, Bernstein created the perfect day-to-night collection of comfy yet stylish dungarees.
Along with the founder of the ultra chic Modern Vice shoes, Jordan Adoni, Bernstein has also created a successful boot line, Archive. High-quality, affordable, and perfect for everyday wear, these boots answer every girl’s dreams. They are sleek and stylish and have the versatility to go with almost any outfit. Her other side project is the mixed metal stick-on body jewels line she created with two of her friends, Ashley Graver and Tara Mullally, called Body Bauble. Body Bauble features face and body jewels perfect for festival season.
If you love seeing her daily outfits on your Instagram feed, and her beautifully detailed blog posts on her website and are dying for more, Bernstein is also now on YouTube. Her channel, We Wore What, is full of how-tos, cooking sessions, clothing hauls, Q&As, and so much more. Bernstein gives her followers an inside look into her glamorous NYC life and her eclectic style.
