Leona Lewis was left fearing for her life when she was stopped by armed police following a frightening car chase on Tuesday (12Jan10).
The Bleeding Love singer and her entourage were on their way to catch a flight at Los Angeles International Airport when a high-speed chase stopped suddenly in front of their vehicle, and two armed men began running towards Lewis' car.
Lewis' security shielded the star, but her manager, Nicola Carson, was thrown to the ground by cops during the ordeal, according to Britain's The Sun newspaper.
A source tells tells the publication, "Two men brandishing guns jum ped out of their car, right next to Leona's. Armed cops, who had been in hot pursuit, captured them. But in the chaos bystanders were also sent flying.
"Leona had been locked in her car by her security team and had to watch as her manager Nicola Carson was thrown on to the floor. They were both shaken. For Leona it brought back memories of last year's fan attack in London."
The pop star was left terrified after she was punched in the face during a London booksigning for fans in October (09).
