The track is a fresh foray into the trap genre, with the two trading their unique personalities through their upbeat lyricism. Instead of welcoming in deadbeat men or unfortunate affairs, they’re introducing the luxury of fast cars, getting money, and success. The track is fast-paced and bouncy, showing isolated vocals during the post-chorus repeating the mantra: “Work, work, this might hurt / I sweat hard, wet T-shirt...” During the chorus, the two sing together their love of foreign cars and making big moves, with Doechii’s background ad-libs working wonderfully in time for the second chorus.

Doechii’s rap is a standout for the track, typical for Doechii fashion. Her addition to the song adds a boost that listeners may not have even realized was needed. Though JENNIE is known for being more of a singer than a rapper, she holds her own on the track, making the two mesh beautifully. Their voices also surprisingly blend wonderfully, making it a shame they have only now collab'd on a song together.

JENNIE’s debut album, Ruby, is set to be released March 7. The album has been heavily anticipated by fans and others alike to finally see what JENNIE has in store. The last time JENNIE released a solo single was back in 2018 in South Korea with the fittingly named track “Solo”. This will be her first venture in the American landscape, following the announcement of her new company Odd Atelier. The album is reported to feature musical stylings from artists such as Childish Gambino, Dominic Fike, Dua Lipa, among more. “ExtraL”, produced by R&B favorite Dem Jointz, is the perfect addition to add hype for her upcoming album.
