Millennials had Twilight. Gen-X had "Dawson’s Creek". Gen-Z? We have "The Summer I Turned Pretty", and our favorite Summer love triangle story is gearing up for its final season!

Based on Jenny Han’s hit book trilogy, "The Summer I Turned Pretty" premiered on Prime Video in the Summer of 2022 and quickly became a staple for hopeless romantics. Team Conrad vs. Team Jeremiah stans alike tune in each Summer. The third and final season is officially set to premiere on July 16, 2025. With 11 episodes, it is the longest season yet!

@jennyhan Surprise! There’ll be another summer. We’ll be back in Cousins for Season 3 as soon as we’re able ???? #thesummeriturnedpretty♬ tsitp x scott street - ????

Season 1 of "The Summer I Turned Pretty" introduced us to Isabel "Belly" Conklin and the Fisher brothers, Conrad and Jeremiah, two boys who had always been more than just Summer family friends. Each year, Belly’s family heads to Cousins Beach, where they stay at the Fishers’ dreamy beach house. But this particular Summer? Everything was different.

Belly showed up not as the awkward little sister type they’ve always known, but as a glowing young woman, ready to be seen. And she was seen. Conrad, the older, moody brother with serious brooding energy, finally started noticing her after years of her silent pining. Meanwhile, Jeremiah, the flirty, fun-loving younger brother with total golden retriever vibes, clearly had a crush of his own. As the days grew longer, so did the tension. Belly found herself torn between the boy she’d always loved and the one who might just love her better. Add in beach bonfires, late-night swims, and the build-up to the annual debutante ball, and you’ve got a Summer straight out of a rom-com.

When it was finally time for the annual debutante ball, Jeremiah was supposed to be Belly’s escort, but heartbreak struck when he received devastating family news. In a surprising turn, Conrad stepped in to take his place, giving us a swoon-worthy moment that signaled just how complicated this love triangle was about to get.

Season 2 of "The Summer I Turned Pretty" turned up the drama, heartbreak, and high-stakes romance as Belly found herself caught between love, loss, and saving the place where it all began. The season kicked off with Belly and Jeremiah teaming up for an unexpected road trip, on a mission to find Conrad, who’d gone MIA from college following the devastating death of his mother, Susannah. Along the way, we’re hit with an emotional wave of flashbacks revealing Belly and Conrad’s short-lived romance -- from snowy nights at Cousins Beach to awkward prom dates and the inevitable cracks that formed between them.

They eventually tracked down Conrad at the beach house, but the mood quickly shifted when they learned that Mr. Fisher was planning to sell the house. With Summer memories on the line, the trio (plus friends) pulled out all the stops to save it: rallying family allies, contacting their estranged aunt, and even throwing a wild, chaotic party inside the home that held their childhood memories. When all else failed, Belly called in her secret weapon: her mom, Laurel. With her signature mix of compassion and strength, Laurel helped convince Mr. Fisher to keep the house. And, just like that, Cousins Beach was safe… for the time being.

As the sun set on Season 2, things finally came full circle for Team Jellyfish (AKA Jeremiah + Belly shippers). After seasons of tension, confusion, and emotional whiplash, the two shared a long-awaited, passionate kiss, leaving fans screaming, swooning, and dying for Season 3!

With the highly anticipated release date of July 16, 2025, just around the corner, the countdown is officially on for Season 3, and we can barely contain our excitement. While fans of the book series may think they know how it all ends, creator Jenny Han has made it clear: expect the unexpected. She’s already teased that the show’s ending might diverge from the novels, so even longtime readers aren't safe from a few emotional curveballs.
