THE RELEASE
Scream VI will be released in theaters on March 10th, 2023.
THE PLOT
Still drenched in shock from the events of the last film, the Carpenter family, which includes sisters Sam (Melissa Barrera) and Tara (Jenna Ortega), decide to leave Woodsboro for New York City. Just when the traumatized teens think they are going to start a new life in college, their plans are thrown out the window when another series of murders begins. Scream VI has the sisters in another meta-whodunit trying to stop the killer. Part of the fun, as always, will be trying to figure out who the killer is, considering a number of characters from past Scream movies will be making appearances. "The less we know, the better" is the mantra at the moment, but the promotions and marketing have provided some fun clues and gimmicks to mull over!

THE CAST
Scream V introduced a whole new set of characters last time around, and their journey continues only a year after their last encounters with Ghostface. “Wednesday” stars Jenna Ortega and In the Height’s Melissa Barrera play Sam and Tara Carpenter, ready to move past the trauma from before, even though they may blame each other. The twins Mindy and Chad, played by Jasmin Savoy Brown and Mason Gooding, will also be returning. OG Courteney Cox reprises her role as Gale Weathers, and remains the only one of the original cast to be in every film. Unfortunately, Neve Campbell will not return as Sidney Prescott, marking this as the first Scream film without her. Meanwhile, Hayden Panettiere from 2011's Scream 4 will also return as Kirby Reed, adding to the allure of who the killer may be. Her character is now iolder and wiser, although her role in the plot is still yet to be known.
