4 March Movie Releases You’ll Want on Your Radar!

March’s movie lineup is bringing a little bit of everything to theaters: gothic romance, literary adaptations, animated adventures, and even an interstellar mission to save humanity. Whether you’re drawn to camp classics or character-driven stories, this month’s releases promise a diverse mix of movies.
1. The Bride! (In Theatres Now)
Directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal, The
Bride! offers a bold reinterpretation of the Frankenstein
story. Set in 1930s Chicago, the story follows the Monster as he
seeks a scientist's help to create a companion. The experiment
results in the resurrection of a woman who quickly develops her own
desires and ambitions, disrupting the expectations placed upon her.
Starring Jessie Buckley and Christian
Bale, the film blends gothic horror, romance, and dark
humor while reimagining one of cinema’s most iconic monster
stories.
2. Project Hail Mary (March 20)
Science-fiction fans will want to keep an eye on Project
Hail Mary, Phil Lord and Christopher
Miller's film adaptation of Andy Weir’s
bestselling novel. The story follows a lone astronaut (Ryan
Gosling) who wakes up aboard a spacecraft with no memory
of how he got there. As fragments of his past return, he realizes
he has been sent on a mission that could determine humanity's fate.
Blending humor, suspense, and science, the film promises a mix of
spectacle and high stakes.
3. Forbidden Fruits (March 27)
If you’re looking for something a little darker (and a little campier), Meredith Alloway's Forbidden Fruits blends horror, satire, and witchy chaos. The film follows Apple (Lili Reinhart), an employee at a mall store called Free Eden, who secretly runs a femme witch cult in the shop’s basement after hours alongside her coworkers Cherry (Victoria Pedretti) and Fig (Alexandra Shipp). Their ritualistic sisterhood unravels when a new hire, Pumpkin (Lola Tung), joins the group and questions the authenticity of their carefully constructed bond. As tensions rise and power dynamics shift, the women are forced to confront the darker sides of their friendships. Produced by Diablo Cody, the writer behind the cult classic Jennifer’s Body, the film combines dark humor with a focus on female friendships.
4. Hoppers (March 6)
Pixar’s Hoppers adds a lighter animated adventure to March’s lineup. The story follows a young girl who uses experimental technology to transfer her mind into a robotic beaver, allowing her to communicate with animals and experience the natural world in a completely new way. The movie has received great reviews, currently sitting at a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes as of this writing.
