Quick Guide To Coachella '23!

It’s time for music’s most popular festival of the year -- Coachella! The first weekend takes place this Friday (April 14) through Sunday (April 15). and continuing next weekend April 21 through the 23rd. This is one of the most talked about events of the year. Here’s everything you need to know!

LOCATION

The festival will continue to take place, as it does every year, in Indio, California, at the Empire Polo Club. It’s been an annual event since April 2001 and is now organized by Goldenvoice. However, the festival was not held in 2020 or 2021 due to COVID-19. Now, the crowd is estimated to be about 125,000 people.

PERFORMERS

In January, Coachella presented their line-up for this year, announcing headliners Bad Bunny, BLACKPINK, and Frank Ocean. Ocean was originally set to perform in 2020. Other notable artists include Kaytranada, Becky G, the Kid Laroi, Kali Uchis, Dominic Fike, and Calvin Harris. We’re thinking someone will bring out at least one surprise guest. FOOD & DRINKS

There will be a ton of different food and drink places on site, and we wanted to point out our favorites to you: Dave’s Hot Chicken, Love Hour, McConnell’s, and Monty’s Good Burger for food, and drinks featured by Absolut.Land, Chamberlain Coffee, Delilah, and a Slurpee truck. Yes, you read that correctly! Delicious!

ART

Coachella has announced new large-scale art installations by Kumkum Fernando, Maggie West, Vincent Leroy, and more. But there are some iconic pieces returning, including the Balloon Chain by Robert Bose and the iconic rainbow cylinder by NEWSUBSTANCE. Can’t forget about the ferris wheel! FASHION

The fashion is one of the best parts about this festival. But what will be this year's trend? We’re expecting to see lots of knit sets, cargo/parachute pants, and chains! Boleros have been extremely popular lately, and since it’s lightweight knit, it’ll be popular. Cargo/parachute pants are super comfortable and easy to style with anything! Plus, it blocks out the dust. Chains are great additions that spice up any type of outfit. People have been wearing body chains since the 2000s, so this is a Coachella staple that we expect to see!
