Opening Ceremony Debuts Disney-Inspired Line at Disneyland!

This week, Disneyland hosted its first fashion show in 40 years at its Anaheim location for brand Opening Ceremony’s Spring 2018 show. The line, called Mickey the True Original, featured pieces decked out in Mickey and Disney-themed designs. Stars filled the seats in the theme park’s Toon Town for both the show and its fun after-party.

Celebrity guests like Chance the Rapper, Laverne Cox, Halle Berry, and more all came out to the event and even munched on some Mickey-shaped pizza. The show also featured live entertainment in the form of a marching band on the runway, Mickey and Minnie posing themselves, and Diplo performing at the after-party.

Fashion designers Carol Lim and Humberto Leon are the masterminds behind Opening Ceremony, and, while Disneyland was a perfect venue, the brand is no stranger to fun ways of debuting new lines. In the past, there has been a full ballet performance and also an interpretive dance number.

The collection looks amazing with its mix of fun silhouettes and Disney-themed prints. Even if you missed out on the Happiest Show on Earth, the pictures show how everyone there is still a kid at heart!
