Justin Bieber thrilled a group of volunteers at a food bank in Canada on Wednesday (21Dec11) by dropping in for a surprise visit.
The pop star performed a charity gig at Toronto's Massey Hall that night and before the show, he took time out to meet schoolkids working at the city's Daily Bread Food Bank.
Bieber, who has spoken openly about his own family's reliance on food banks during his childhood, took a donation to the organisation and spent time with the young volunteers.
He subsequently opened up about his charity visit in a series of posts on Twitter.com. He writes, "Great day so far. All about giving back today... Met some great volunteers doing great things here at food banks in Toronto."
