Don't sleep, wake up.
We got you to sign a hat, a Young Hollywood hat, which is amazing.
And a bunch of your Twitter fans, like literally right now, they're all tweeting 'cause they wanna be the one that wins the hat.
Oh, it's a lot of, it's a lot of tweets.
So we're just gonna let you just randomly pick.
You could just literally be like.
So, one person that tweeted this hashtag, that's it.
Okay.
Even though we'd love to give this to everybody, Cody's just gonna make a.
Thank you.
A random decision.
And it could be you.
So this is like your home away from home, pretty much.
I know.
I come here every, feels like every other day.
I know, it might as well.
Why not?
We love having you.
Yeah.
Thank you.
And you, I mean, in terms of your music, you've, you know, you just finished your other album that you released recently, called Surfer's Paradise.
Surfer's Paradise.
It came out in July.
There's no way to say this song's about someone else.
Every time you're not in my arms, I start to lose myself.
Someone, please, pass me my shades.
Don't let them see me down.
You have taken over my days.
So tonight I'm going out.
But I heard that you said it was sort of like, you know, if you talk about the evolution of Cody Simpson, it's sort of like.
Yeah, I mean like.
You really feel like you evolved and you've found yourself.
I'm growing up really like, I'm just growing really quickly.
Um, you know, even when I look back to things I was doing a year ago, and I think, "Oh, wow, like if I can keep on, you know, having that growth year by year, then, you know, it's just gonna be a wonderful journey."
Um, and like I'm already working on like next year's music and it's just like, you know, another whole step even more again.
So it's just like, I'm just excited.
Who are some of your favorite artists?
Like who do you draw your inspiration from?
Um, I mean, like recently, I've like really tried to like go back to like Bob Dylan and like Elvis Presley and um, even like back, like blues and stuff like.
I've been trying to like, um,
And you, didn't you collaborate with like Ziggy Marley, which I thought was so cool.
I mean a Bob Marley, and I I was like, I asked Ziggy if his like, you know,
Yeah.
Yeah.
He's a son if he wanted to be on my album and like we we did this really, really cool track called "Love."
And like how, I mean, your sound has obviously been like sort of a mix of pop and then now it's like really got like that reggae feel to it.
Yeah, it's like an Australian beachy thing.
That Australian beachy thing.
Yeah, that's just like that groovy stuff.
So.
And you know, pretty brown eyes, I love that song.
It's sort of like, sort of like your fresh take on that, you know, pretty brown eye, brown eye girl kinda thing.
Yeah, I wanted to sort of just create something funky and and summery for this, this summer.
Um, to perform out of my tour and um, you know, brown eyes, I feel is um, you know, it's the most universal eye color when it's, you know, it spans across.
It's like blue eye and green eye girls can't.
No, no, no.
Those songs are coming.
Those songs are coming.
Those songs are coming.
One eye color per album.
I'm expecting that.
Next album.
And your new single is called, "La Da Dee."
La Da Dee.
Yeah, yeah.
That's a fun one.
And I was, it was on um, the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, right?
That's awesome.
Yeah, yeah.
They um, you know, we had it in the in the movie and I went to that premiere and it was like playing.
It was like just playing kinda.
It's one of those songs that like after the first time you hear it, like it just like kinda stuck in your head.
I.
Yeah, I listened to it.
I was like, that was in my head, pretty much.
On the on the red carp, thanks.
On the red carpet of the premiere, they just like kinda, that was the only song on like the playlist over the speakers and it just like kept going.
That's crazy.
So I was on the carpet, I heard it like 20 times.
So, and then Halloween's coming up.
So,
Yeah.
Halloween's coming up, yeah.
And you're gonna be performing that song on the Hub Network.
The Hub Network.
Um,
They're doing a Halloween special and I'll perform "La Da Dee."
Um, I probably, I probably, I'm literally probably just gonna like wear board shorts and.
I was gonna say like, what are you dress are you like what's your costume?
I'm gonna New York for Halloween.
Um, I'm still not sure what I'm gonna dress up as.
That's gonna be awesome, but freezing.
You can literally just pick any any person.
Just say @ so-and-so.
Okay, I love this one.
This is the winner right here.
I actually am in desperate need of a hat.
Born to Simpsonize.
Forget them.
Yeah.
Cody Simpson, just sign this.
Like, you just want a hat.
She She just needs a hat.
She needs a new hat, so there you go.
Okay, there you go.
Who what's their what's their Twitter name?
Her name's Emily, it's born to Simpsonize.
Born to Simpsonize.
The number two.
The number two.
So.
You're gonna be wearing this.
You will get your hat, too.
