You made a TikTok. You make a lot of TikToks in your room. Yep. Like the green checkered rug. Yep. The plants. You have a good vibe. Like that's cool.
I have to. Not a lot of guys care that much about what their room looks like.
That's sad.
It's very sad. That's very sad considering the amount of time I spend in my room like
Yours is so cute. Like you have a nice aesthetic.
You got to make it right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You got to make it nice.
Are you like that with everything? Are you you have good taste with everything?
I am now. Okay. I feel like over time like it started with music and then like my care for that kind of like dwindled into like food and then it dwindled into like um just like interior design and stuff. Yeah. Also having friends that are like really into it helps a lot too. Um cause I mean the last thing I want is my friends to come over to my crib and be like, yo, you should do it like this instead. Like I want them to be like, oh, I want to do my crib like this, you know. Yeah. Um but also TikTok has helped too. I just like I gotta have something that's like Yeah. aesthetically pleasing for people to look at when they see my videos.
Is the videos the videos that you have that are the red and your like the camera's behind you, it's your back at your camera or your desk. Is that also in that room?
No, so that's I have I just turned my garage into a studio.
Okay, gotcha.
So like now like I'm kind of like splitting them. I'm doing some in my room and some in the studio like it's kind of all over the place. I'm trying to figure it out here. But Yeah.
Is the studio that you go to most of the time like the one on your Instagram story. Is that in your house too?
Yeah.
Okay, so you you really don't really leave. You can do everything at home.
I can now. Yeah. I just recently got everything set up like a month or two ago. Yeah. So before then I had to drive down to West Hollywood. So.
You have your all cute set up. Thank goodness. Yeah. Looks great. Makes it easier to film TikToks too.
Oh my god, yeah. I just pop in there, set up the camera. Come here. Yeah, exactly. Back in my room. Exactly.
Okay, ready for the next one?
Yep.
There's two more, so this one and the next one. All right, I'm going to get these. Okay. Unless they're six sentences long. You love this one. Everyone loves this song. It's Rich Flex by Drake and 21 Savage.
Oh, that's tired. Okay, let's see. This is in a sentence. Okay, I'm ready.
Viral superstar.
What'd you say something about a superstar?
Yes. What's the first word?
Viral. Flower.
Viral. Viral. Yes. Viral superstar. Yes. You got it.
That was crazy. You knew superstar right away though. I grabbed superstar like That clicked. Yeah. So that was easy for you.
I thought you said flower. I was like flower superstar. Flower superstar. Like you thought like Super Mario or something. No. You did good. I I yeah, that one was definitely easier. Okay, so a lot of people strive to be you realistically. In the sense of like you made a music career. Yes, you had music before TikTok. But a lot of it was you using TikTok and a lot of your videos blowing up. Right. So what advice would you give to people that are trying to make it in music like you when it comes to I guess using TikToks or putting yourself out there really. Cause it took you like it takes a lot to put yourself out there and sing on TikTok. Like I could I could never. No, definitely not. Like I also suck at singing. But like if I had to post a singing cover, I just wouldn't do it. Like
Well, I mean, it's just probably something fun that you can do though.
Thanks. Like this, want to sing this. Yeah, yeah. But still, if you do like the music thing is like
I I think I started using TikTok for the first time in like 2020. Okay. Um it was kind of during the whole mess but like I hated it. Like I really hated it because it felt like a job. Yeah. Like it felt like it was a part of my job that I didn't like it was a part of my job that I didn't want to do. Um but the reality of it was like it was just a free tool to like promote it like anything could happen. And I saw it a couple times for like I'd just post some like comedy stuff or nothing that was related to my music and it just saw it would do well and I was like interesting. The power of these things is kind of insane. Yeah. And for a little bit, I definitely hated it. But then I just started having like more fun with it. It was less like I think being less promoting about the music makes it more fun. Yeah. It's like you made the music. You enjoy the music. How can you get it across to people in a way that shows that you enjoy the music? You know like and for me it wasn't about like promoting my original stuff. But Yeah. It was more about like I love the process of creating music and listening back to it. So I was like at least if I could create like these R&B covers, um I started with the Katy Perry one. And um that was probably back in like 2021. Yeah. And at least it was like something for me to look back on. Like even if it got five views, it was still like a tangible thing I could like listen to in my car and just be like, yo, this is this is dope. Like it's a it's still a product that I could use later down the line. But rather than it just being like, yo, this is my song, go check it out like and it's just playing in the background with the lyrics. And like you can still do that. But I think it's just finding a way to have fun. It's like super cliche. And like if anybody told me that when my TikToks were struggling, I would have hated them. Yeah. For them to say like, just have fun with it. Like it's like hard on that.
Yeah, actually. I mean, it's so true. Like just having fun with it and like getting into something you're actually passionate about, like in the way you want to go about promoting your music, I think it's like just easier on you. Cause you have no control over what's gonna go viral. Yeah. The least you can do is have fun doing it, you know? That's the crazy part. Yeah. But that's good advice though. Because a lot of people look at it as pressure. But if you like take the pressure out of it, it's like and just have fun.
Yeah, just like and you don't even have to be like two, three, four, five TikToks a day. I know like most people will say that, but it's like that's really insane. Yeah. Like I I remember posting this is really funny. I remember posting three TikToks on a day, like after I released a song. And somebody with my comments, they were like, slow down now, buddy. And I was like, hold on. I was like, All right. I was like, okay, I'm done. I was like, uh, just stick to one a day maybe. Um but no, it's it's it's just all about like having fun and like making sure that you're still enjoying the process. Yeah. I think that's what like creating anything is. So.
Good advice. Ready for your last one?
I am. Let's see how you do.
Spaghetti and noodles.
Spaghetti girl. How did you get that? Okay. No. Spaghetti and noodles. I can't hear the opera. I'm going to keep saying spaghetti. No. Keep going, go on. Spaghetti and noodles. One more time. The first word was right. Spaghetti is right. Spaghetti. Yeah. But what's the second one? Noodles. Noodles. Spaghetti noodle. Yeah. It is? Spaghetti and noodles. Spaghetti and noodles. Yes. Yo, what? Just How do you like that song? He did such a good job. Wow. This is insane. I was like kinda the whole time I was waiting for Opera and then all of a sudden, here she goes. I was like, oh my God. I heard it when you first put the bomb and it's absolutely hilarious. It's like why? Jump scare first. It just came out of nowhere. So that was your favorite song? This one. Yeah. Yeah, what is it called? Yeah. It's called my personal favorite as well. Turn it up. S C nine one Act three. I'll get that on vinyl. Yeah. That one's so good. I'm sane. Okay, last one. Who are your top artists that you listen to and who are top three people you want to make a song with?
Ah. Classic, classic music question. Um I know I already mentioned Ty Dolla Sign. He's in my top three. I I would say these aren't in order. Yeah. Or should I do them in order?
Do them in order.
Okay, I'll start with number one. Well, you have to listen more Opera. Oh, no. I'll say Ty Dolla Sign is number one. I would say Bryson Tiller is number two. Number three. I'm a really big Justin Bieber fan.
Of course. We love Justin Bieber.
I can't even hide it. Um but three people I'd want to make a song with. I've said this for so long and I feel like it'd still be super cool. Um Kehlani, I would love to do.
Kehlani. You're I could see that too. I'm not just trying to say that to be nice. But like your vibes. That's what I say, so.
Maybe some people are being nice but some people are telling the truth. Yeah. And I just need her to know that.
Yep. We'll we'll tell her.
I appreciate that. Um I mean, can I can I just say I want to do a song with Bryson Tiller as well?
I guess. We'll allow it.
So as not to cop out. Mm we'll allow it. Okay, I appreciate it. Uh number three.
Honestly I mean, this one's kinda like way out of left field but like like Juicy J.
Okay, come through. Juicy J on the song would be crazy. That would. I would have never guessed that you were going to say that in my life.
Right. I've been making more like upbeat stuff.
It might have been my last guess ever. Really? No. Well, the Opera guy, whoever that was. Make sure make sure he's not. We need to get him in. We need to get all of him immediately. Juicy J would be fun. Juicy J would be sick. Okay. I'm just trying to like go a little bit out of the ballpark. Would you do one with like Lil Baby?
For sure. Oh, actually that's so funny. I just sent something to my manager the other day. I was like, we need Lil Baby on this.
That would be I would listen to that one. I think you. You're Almost There is my favorite one of yours. Really?
Yeah, swear to God. Okay.
Yeah. But if you have Lil Baby, I'll definitely stream.
He would not be on You're Almost There but I definitely got tracks for him. Yeah, maybe. What is the YouTube short? I sent it to Tyler. The YouTube short I'm going to show you it. Because it was I don't know if this is an actual song out yet but it is so good. So good.
I'm interested. I want to know.
No, it's like unreal. If it's not Oh, it's in the headphones. Go ahead.
Oh, yeah, this one. Is this yours?
Yeah.
Is this out to the public?
No, but it's coming out.
Can you do that immediately? Right now. Yes. Call call somebody and drop it right now. Cause this one this one's insane.
I appreciate it.
This one's good. Thank you. Love this one.
It's coming out.
Love like I just liked it.
It's coming out in July.
Okay. Will you please DM Young Hollywood and let us know when it's out?
Of course. Of course.
Cause we'll one post about it and two definitely listen to it.
Absolutely, I appreciate it.
But seriously, love your music.
Thank you so much.
And how did you like the game?
I love the game. I'm gonna go home and like have one of my roommates I'm like, put on your headphones. Say something. practice. Yeah.
So your next Young Hollywood interview, you're like so good at it.
Imagine. I come back and I'm just like incredible at this. You have like a paragraph and you just you know everything. Exactly. That's what I'm saying. Yeah. And what was your favorite song that I played? Do you remember any of them? You played uh Drake and 21 Savage joint, Rich Flex.
Rich Flex. I mean. Yeah. Classic. That's the one as soon as I heard it, I was like I kind of like this game. Yeah, exactly. Amazing. I mean, the first one, I don't know what you played for the first one. I was so locked in. But that one had me super locked in. Like I guessed it immediately. I'll look it up cause I think I remember it. It's one of my faves. It's in my likes. But thank you for coming on Young Hollywood. You did great.
