Justin Bieber has assured fans he's fine following an alleged scary encounter with an undercover cop outside a New York department store on Thursday (23Jun11).
A mystery man was said to have attacked the Baby hitmaker outside his fragrance launch at Macy's department store, reportedly leaving the 17 year old with a minor injury.
It's since emerged the man was a plain-clothes police officer and the incident was "a misunderstanding" between the pop star's security team and cops, reports the Associated Press.
But Bieber has brushed off the dramatic turn of events, writing in a post on his Twitter.com page, "Today went well at macy's... the fans were AMAZING, thanks to all the fans who came out to support it was a breath of fresh air."
However, a member of Bieber's personal security team was reportedly cited for disorderly conduct when he challenged the cop during the incident.
