Jordin Sparks is facing a chart showdown with her singer boyfriend Jason Derulo as they both have albums due out early next year (12).
The former American Idol winner is busy recording her third studio album - and so is her beau Derulo, who she has been dating since January (12).
In a joint interview, Sparks tells The Hollywood Reporter, "We might be competing on the charts because I'm working on mine (my album) too. So we'll see how that goes! You're gonna win, babe, it's OK. Don't worry."
The couple has collaborated on a handful of tracks, and Sparks admits they've already begun the process of deciding who gets which duet on their respective releases.
She adds, "He'll be on mine. We recorded a couple songs, and right now we're just trying to figure out who gets which one on what album. We'll see how that goes!"
Derulo adds, "It'll probably be her deciding!"
