He explained that the actress was hot comedy property when he was a writer/comic on the weekly satirical show.
He said, "We wanted Aniston to be on the show with us and I remember... seeing Jen come in. I was like, 'Oh my God, there's Aniston; is she about to be on our show?'
"I was like, 'I'm gonna be working with Aniston,' and then she said no: 'She's gonna do that Friends; what the hell is Friends?'"
Aniston recalled, "They thought I was making a huge mistake."
