With the closing of Halloween and the rush of the Winter holidays now upon us, what better time is there to snuggle up under a bundle of blankets and cozy up for binge-watching session? Disney+ definitely agrees with their new releases for the colder season. Ranging from something for Christmas lovers to music fans, the Disney streaming service has something for everyone to enjoy. So sit back, relax, and let us take your through our list of surefire classics!

 

1. Out of My Mind (Nov. 22)

This heartwarming movie is about Melody Brooks, a nonverbal sixth grader with cerebral palsy. Based off the book by Sharon M. Draper and co-starring Jennifer Aniston, Melody (played by Phoebe-Rae Taylor) is ready for a world of independence and autonomy. After she is transferred to a different class setting, she is soon faced with the judgment of her peers. Regardless of what any naysayers have to say, Melody is ready to face these challenges head-on and approach this new world with a brave face. See how Melody learns about the world when it releases later this month!

 

 

 

2. "An Almost Christmas Story" (Nov. 15)

Follow along into the Christmas season with Moon, a curious young owl who becomes strayed from his family in the animated short "An Almost Christmas Story". He soon befriends Luna, a spryly young girl who is equally lost in the city of New York. Together, they embody the Christmas spirit by helping each other find their way home while also finding home in each other.

 

 

 

3. "Star Wars: Skeleton Crew" (Dec. 3)

For all our Star Wars fans out there, get ready for the next adventure in the franchise. This latest tale follows four kids who get lost from their home planet and have to use their wits and bravery to find their way back home. If you’re a fan of Jude Law, then this show is perfect for you. The 2-episode premiere is coming soon to our TV screens on December 3rd!

 

 

 

4. Elton John: Never Too Late (Dec. 13)

Sir Elton John, The Rocket Man himself, has teamed up with Disney+ to make a documentary to reflect on his life and illustrous career. Widely inspired from his concert at Dodger Stadium, his expansive career is retold with fresh ears and eyes to celebrate the hardships the singer has faced to be where he is today. Make sure to tune into this feel-good story on December 13th!

 

 

 

5. "Goosebumps: The Vanishing" (Jan. 10)

Last but certainly not least, we have our closer with the looming January release of Season 2 of "Goosebumps", entitled "The Vanishing"! Starring "Friends" alum David Schwimmer, the story sets as he and his fraternal twin children spend their summer in Brooklyn to recharge after his divorce. After learning of the legacy of their father’s family, the twins team up with some new friends to solve the mystery involving their new home. All 8 episodes will be released on January 10!
