Young Hollywood

If you start typing Brooklyn in Google, do you know Decker comes up as a suggestion? Before anything, before like Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn.

RJ Williams

We were doing it earlier. It comes up first now.

Brooklyn Decker

No, it doesn't. Not before Brooklyn Bridge.

RJ Williams

Swear.

Young Hollywood

RJ here. We are hanging out at the Young Hollywood studio with the beautiful Brooklyn Decker. Hi. How are you?

Brooklyn Decker

I'm great. How are you?

Young Hollywood

Good. Now, I have an obsession I don't usually talk about, but I'm going to talk about it here because you share the obsession with me.

Brooklyn Decker

Okay. What is it? Do you have a lot of obsessions?

Young Hollywood

Well, a few, but go ahead. I could just hear this sound. You knew you could hear the sound. We have to. I mean, it just makes everything that much better. You hear the sound. I need to find my soulmate though, in here, and it's the red one. I was going to. That's my favorite color too. I knew you were going to say the red. How'd you know that?

Brooklyn Decker

Red is just always the best, yeah. Oh my gosh. I don't like the green. Do you have the same issue?

Young Hollywood

Yeah, I agree. But red and the yellow are my favorite. Cheers. Do not like the green. Cheers. So, how's life? Good? You're on every like beautiful list, beautiful person. You're always at the top of the list. Yeah. Oh. And now you're doing like huge movies. That's the exciting part. And how crazy is it? You you've only done two, but Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler. I mean, did you just pinch yourself when you heard like those are my costars?

Brooklyn Decker

Yes, I did. When the flash is that her? Hello. Boring. Why are you wearing that? I'm just playing the part. I I read the script and I auditioned for it so many times and I coached and I did I just did the whole like showing up, verbal vomit at the audition, freaking out, so nervous.

Young Hollywood

And were you nervous when you went on set or you were just like, uh, you know,

Brooklyn Decker

Oh, shaking, shaking, shaking.

Young Hollywood

The whole time or just the first day?

Brooklyn Decker

Well, a few a few scenes. I have a a a love scene with with Sandler, and I just told him. I said, "Adam, I have to tell you, I'm kind of freaking out about this." He's like, "It's awkward. It's fine. We'll just get it over with, and we'll go home to our husbands and wives, it's fine."

Young Hollywood

And how do you keep a straight face? Because we've interviewed Adam before, him and a bunch of other people. He was hilarious.

Brooklyn Decker

It's great. Nick Swardson is in it, who is so funny. And his goal was to break us, and Jen is a pro, like she people don't break her. She's, you know, she has done comedy for years, but she could not hold it together with Nick. And I felt so bad because we kept having to cut and restart because I kept laughing during Nick's scenes, and then one day she's like, "Honey, don't worry about it. I did the same thing." So we all do it. Um, but it was hard on some days. This stuff's really funny.

Young Hollywood

And the trailer is everywhere, but the best part of the trailer is that end shot of the slow motion shot of of Brooklyn. No, that's really the best part. That's the best part. That's the highlight.

Brooklyn Decker

Oh, I don't, oh.

Young Hollywood

Cuz everybody out there is going to be like, "Who is this girl?"

Brooklyn Decker

I guess I'm glad I shot it when I was 22 then, that way maybe in, you know, 50 years I'm looking back. Right. I think it's okay, but now I'm like, "Oh, no, don't show it. Don't show it."

Young Hollywood

Yeah, right. You'll have it forever to show the kids.

Brooklyn Decker

Thanks, I guess. Yeah.

Young Hollywood

So what are you doing when you're not acting and you're not modeling and and you're just hanging out? What are you doing?

Brooklyn Decker

Um, I like being outside a lot. I play with my dog. I should come up with better answers. Like, I study five languages, and

Young Hollywood

Really?

Brooklyn Decker

No, I don't.

Young Hollywood

Oh. I was very impressed.

Brooklyn Decker

No, I uh bought the Spanish Rosetta Stone. So, but that was a year ago. So I need to start that. That's on my list. Um, I'm really into interior design and I'm working on my apartment and building a house right now. So that's kind of my second job outside. Yeah, that keeps me busy.

Young Hollywood

You said on your list. So if you had like your bucket list of just things you have to do and you have to make sure you're doing in the next few years.

Brooklyn Decker

Oh, wow. Skydiving's up there. I had a trip planned. Um, I was shooting in Hawaii, but my producer told me if I did it, she would kill me. So Got to be careful with that. That was next. Yeah.

Young Hollywood

You know what's really crazy? You've probably done this, but you might not have. If you start typing Brooklyn in Google, Do you know Decker comes up as a suggestion?

Brooklyn Decker

Does it? Yeah. That is insane.

Young Hollywood

Before anything. Before like Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn squ.

Brooklyn Decker

No, it doesn't. Not before Brooklyn Bridge.

Young Hollywood

We were doing it earlier. It comes up first now. I don't know if that means there are a lot of like dirty 12-year-old boys out there or I don't know what that means. Why with that name? Cuz is it true I heard it was named after a horse?

Brooklyn Decker

Yeah, named after. Everyone thinks it's a stage name. They think it sounds kind of fake, but um, no it's real. I was named after a horse.

Young Hollywood

Brooklyn. It sounds very, very fluid, like Brooklyn. It's yeah, sort of. Either that or like a sandwich, Brooklyn Decker. It does, actually. Is like a sandwich, right? You'll be at one of those delis that have where it's like celebrity sandwiches, here's Brooklyn Decker. Yeah, it does. I don't know that that's a good thing, though. But yeah, I mean a sandwich or a bridge. I want to order a Brooklyn Decker. Right? It has like a good good ring to it. I know.
