Actress Abigail Breslin has just about given up hope of ever passing her driving test after failing eight times.
The Little Miss Sunshine star has been trying to obtain her permit since she was 16, but five years on, she admits she is no closer to getting behind the wheel on her own.
"I failed my driver's test eight times," she confessed on morning show Live with Kelly and Ryan.
Asked whether she bombed in the written part of the test or the driving portion, she replied, "Like, half and half."
As a result, Abigail has been forced to rely on her licensed pals to drive her around whenever she is in Los Angeles and needs a lift.
"I have really good friends," she smiled. "I'm like, 'Hey, you wanna give me a ride...?'"
Her multiple attempts to pass the test even gained her the sympathy of an employee at the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
"Literally, the girl who was at the DMV (working), actually started to feel sorry for me," Abigail laughed. "She said, 'Sweetheart, I don't think this is gonna work for you.' I'm like, 'I don't think so either!'"
