Lucasfilm head Dave Filoni has stated in an interview with Collider that he wants The Mandalorian & Grogu to serve as an entry point for younger audiences and families. "But it was, I thought, special to make this kind of an entry point for kids, especially now going to the theater with their parents and as, hopefully, they enjoy this movie, the world just opens up to them in a way," Filoni said.
