5 Seconds Of Summer drummer Ashton Irwin has fallen sick and pulled out of a promo event just weeks after he underwent appendicitis surgery.
The percussionist was hospitalized last month (Oct14) and the Australian pop group axed a number of gigs while he recovered from the operation.
He has since rejoined the band, and they returned to the spotlight as a four-piece at the Australian Record Industry Association (ARIA) Awards in Sydney, Australia on Wednesday (26Nov14).
However, Irwin has now fallen sick again and pulled out of a day of promotion and interviews this week (ends30Nov14).
A message posted on the group's Twitter.com page, written by bandmember Calum Hood, reads, "Hi it's Cal... Can't wait to see u (you) all at Channel V today, Ash isn't feeling too well so he's resting up for a couple days... Make sure to send the groovemaster some love!!"
