2022 MTV VMAs Preview!
The world’s wildest award show is only a few days away, and we just can’t contain our excitement! The MTV Video Music Awards were made to acknowledge and award the best in the music video industry, but are known for its shocking, and even controversial, fiascos that never fail to leave us with our mouths completely gapped open. To say the least, as we speak from previous experience [*cough* the infamous Kanye West mic snatch *cough*], this show is something you do not want to miss!
The 38th VMAs are set to take place on Sunday, August 28, starting at 8PM at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, and if it goes anything like it did when the show was held here in 2019, we’re in for a treat!
An integral part of any award show is obviously the performers, and this year’s list of guests is full of our favorites! Nicki Minaj, Kane Brown, Anitta, J Balvin, Marshmello x Khalid, and Panic! at the Disco are amongst the performers that we can expect to see hit the stage, as well as Jack Harlow, BLACKPINK, Lizzo, and Maneskin, who were just recently announced this week! If this list doesn’t make you want to tune in, we don’t know what will!
Couldn’t wait another second to share this news… we’ve got four more @vmas performances coming your way!!!!

Now, make no mistake, we’re not just going to slide by the fact that Nicki Minaj is set to perform this year, because this won’t be any regular ol’ performance, or any regular ol’ night for that matter, for Ms Minaj. At this year’s show, Nicki Minaj will be awarded with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, honoring her extensive impact, legendary work, and extraordinary talent that she has showcased throughout the years. So, not only will Nicki be performing at this year’s VMAs for the first time in 4 years, but she’ll also be performing as our 2022 recipient of this notable award!
