Do you like secrets? How about reveals? Regardless of which you prefer, "56 Days" is full of both! The thriller series, which is based on Catherine Ryan Howard’s novel of the same name, premiered on Prime Video on February 18. It follows Ciara (Dove Cameron) and Oliver’s (Avan Jogia) fast-paced relationship in the 56 days leading up to a corpse being found in Oliver’s bathtub. Here are the top 5 craziest twists in the show! (Warning: major spoilers ahead, obviously!)

1. "I’m Ciara."

After the whole first episode sets Oliver up to seem suspicious, it’s wild to see the day from Ciara’s point of view! First, we see her rehearsing her made-up name and story in the mirror. Then, we see Ciara’s side of her and Oliver’s meet-cute. Oliver’s perspective almost made it seem like he was stalking her, but Ciara’s perspective proves that she was watching him before he even saw her! This twist was a crazy way to end the first episode, but nothing could’ve prepared us for how crazy the show would get from here...

2. Jane’s Identity

When Jane (Kira Guloien) is first introduced, it’s easy to assume that she’s Oliver’s ex. Then, the more we learn about her and Oliver’s interactions, it’s easy to assume that she’s the unidentified corpse. So, to find out that she’s not only alive but a reporter who wants to write a story about Oliver and his past, is a shocking twist! And don’t even get us started on the insane tension between Jane and Ciara after Jane tries to blackmail her in the bathroom stall.

3. Paul’s Mother

When Ciara and her sister Shyla (Megan Peta Hill) mention their brother, who passed away, it’s implied that he was Paul, the boy Oliver murdered in high school. But as we see the detectives knock on Paul’s mother’s door and Ciara’s mother, Kristi (Jennifer Ferrin), walking over to answer, it is revealed that the scenes are actually separate from one another, à la the iconic FBI raid scene in The Silence of the Lambs (1991). But unlike the movie, the detectives made it to the correct house, which left us even more confused about how Ciara could be connected to Oliver if her brother wasn’t his victim.

4. The Therapist’s Motives

Over the course of the series, Oliver’s therapist, Dan Troxler (Patch Darragh), appears to serve as his voice of reason, so to say we were shocked to discover that he was only ever in it for the money would be a massive understatement! The fact that he was also connected to Ciara’s family was another twist we were not anticipating. The sinister scene between Dan and Ciara’s brother, Shane (Sam Warnock), was one of the show’s many jaw-dropping moments.

5. The "Murderer"

To be completely honest, we were starting to get a little annoyed with the Linus Finch (Dylan Colton) side plot, since it felt so unrelated to everything else that was going on. Sure, he brought some drama to the show but nothing interesting enough to warrant the amount of screentime he was getting. But then it all came together when Detective Lee (Karla Souza) and Detective Karl Connolly (Dorian Missick) set up evidence for the murder to be pinned on him, despite them both knowing that he didn’t actually do it. We’d normally find this lack of justice to be a major turn-off, but considering that Linus tried to buy Detective Lee’s silence, and then both choked her and shot at her car once she tried to put an end to it, we think it’s pretty safe to say that he got what he deserved.
