"Tainted Love" Graphic Novel Springs to Life on YouTube!

Orlando Jones's graphic novel “Tainted Love” is getting the live-action treatment!

The story follows Black Barry (Jones), who is a binary man: one-part criminal, one-part new father. The love of his life, Jezebel Jackson (Deanna Russo), is his perfect match: one-part thief, one-part new mom. But not everything is perfect for Barry and Jezebel. Barry is a grossly underpaid bag man for Fred Lucas (Eric Roberts), the toughest gangster in town.

Wanting to start a new life together, Jezebel comes up with a two-step plan. Step one: rob Fred Lucas. Step two: marry Barry. Her plan seems simple enough but goes horribly wrong and puts Barry at odds with Detective Jamshid (Maz Jobrani) and Lucas's goons. But no matter what they throw at Barry, he will stop at nothing to ensure his family's safety.

Tainted Love is a wonderful graphic novel, and the live-action adaptation is equally as awesome. Think Scott Pilgrim but with guns! This fast-paced and visceral story of true love against all odds combines a magnificent style of action and comedy, while blending live-action and animation. It’s truly amazing on how much quality content can be created outside of the big-budget Hollywood studio system.
