Secrets, Power, and Blood: Sydney Sweeney & Julianne Moore’s New Thriller Has It All!

Save the date for June 13th, 2025, because Apple TV+ has confirmed that its newest thriller Echo Valley will see the day of light this Summer, kicking off a frightfully fun season.

The movie is led by Julianne Moore and Sydney Sweeney, who will unite their talents to portray a tormented mother-daughter duo that is caught up in a deadly web of crime and secrets. Alongside them, we will see Domhnall Gleeson, Kyle MacLachlan, and Fiona Shaw bring the mystery to life. Moore plays Kate, a protective mother who is dealing with the loss of her partner. Kate leads a peaceful life on her horse farm in Pennsylvania with nothing around for miles. Ah, yes, paradise on earth... Or is it?

This is where Claire comes in – Kate’s troubled daughter, portrayed by Sydney Sweeny. Early on we learn that Claire is addicted to drugs, a habit that has caused her to take advantage of her mother in the past. When Claire shows up one night covered in blood that isn’t hers, Kate is faced with a crucial question: how far is she willing to go to protect her daughter?

In Echo Valley, we will get to see a whole new side of Sydney Sweeney. The actress has previously expressed frustration for being type-cast as the “sexualized character” after her breakout role as Cassie in HBO's hit show "Euphoria". However, in her role as Claire, Sweeney breaks out of this mould, as she is said to deliver an incredibly emotional, raw, and honest performance.

Captain of the ship is director Michael Pearce, who is best known for his work on Encounter and Beast. His first mate is screenwriter Brad Ingelsby, who is responsible for the script. Ingelsby has gained recognition for Out of the Furnace and The Way Back. On June 13th this Summer, the movie will be available to stream on Apple TV+.
