Our 5 Favorite Performances From Week 3 of Netflix’s "Star Search" Revival!

Three is a magic number, and this was a week of 3s at “Star Search”! This week marked Week 3 of the competition, making some of the contestants 3-time champions, all while performing in front of the newly 3-time Grammy Award-winner Jelly Roll. The competition is on, as both new and returning acts fight for the grand prize of $500,000! Here are our 5 favorite performances from Week 3.
1. Yair Keydar
Yair Keydar set the bar high for himself last week after receiving the show’s first perfect score from the judges, and this week’s performance did not disappoint! His powerhouse rendition of Stevie Wonder’s "Don’t You Worry ‘Bout A Thing" perfectly highlighted his magnetic presence as well as his insanely impressive vocals. He showcased his buttery smooth riffs and runs and hit sky-high notes with ease. His performance even featured a sweet moment where he went into the audience to sing to his mom!
2. Movement 55
After having performed 2 very fierce and intense numbers, Movement 55 decided to go for a change of pace this week. Their beautiful dance to "You Stole The Show" by Sienna Spiro showcased a much softer, more intimate side of the group. Their performance was so emotional that it even brought Jelly Roll to tears!
3. TJ Salta
This week, magician and mentalist TJ Salta performed his riskiest act yet, executing what he called "the world’s most dangerous card trick". For his act, he had host Anthony Anderson sign a card, which he then had one minute to find after putting it back into the deck. Simple, right? Except he had to do it all while in a straitjacket and dangling upside-down from a "triangle of death" that had been set on fire! His trick was so impressive that he received 5 stars from every judge in addition to earning the competition’s highest score so far, with a total of 4.68 stars.
4. Jaïr Faria
Jaïr Faria’s performance of "Use Somebody" by Kings of Leon truly showcased his star power, as he owned the stage with his charismatic presence and effortless riffs and runs. You could say that music is in his blood, as he first started recording songs with his father, rapper and singer-songwriter Glen Faria (aka MC Fit). However, he has since gone solo, building a style and following of his own. Although he won’t be performing on "Star Search" again next week, having lost his category by just 0.06 stars, we know we’ll see him shining bright on another stage in no time!

5. Harry Merlin Piper
The 15-year-old magician literally went above and beyond with his performance this week! He started out with an impressive card trick where he found Jelly Roll’s card without touching the deck. He then not only made his assistant float in mid-air but was able to make himself fly as well. As if his act wasn’t already impressive enough, he closed it out by making his assistant disappear! His charisma and enthusiasm were the cherry on top of an already exciting performance, making it clear why he’s one of the show’s 3-time champions.
New episodes of "Star Search" stream live on Netflix every Tuesday and Wednesday at 9pm ET/6pm PT!
