Naomi Watts is reportedly in talks to take on Tippi Hedren's iconic role in a remake of Alfred Hitchcock thriller The Birds.
The movie classic is set for a revamp by blockbuster moviemaker Michael Bay and his Platinum Dunes company, although he won't direct the film - that task will fall to Dutchman Diederik Van Rooijen.
The Birds was loosely based on a story by Daphne du Maurier.
Sienna Miller previously portrayed Hedren in TV movie The Girl, which centered on Hitchcock's obsession with his leading lady as they filmed The Birds.
