I mean, it is straight out of like the mind of Miley Cyrus, 'cause she's hosting tonight and it's going to be outrageous. We are sitting on a bunch of MTV's. I want my MTV. I want my MTV. What the moon is performing behind us right now. What the hell is going on? I mean, it's rock, it's awesome. Is young Hollywood? That's what it is, young Hollywood. That's what it is, Young Hollywood. That's what it is, Young Hollywood. This is like the craziest red carpet you've ever seen. It's pretty much. Yes, this is not even red. I don't know. Yeah. Whatever it is. Multi color. I thought I was going color blind or something. We're at Miley's party, what do you expect? When I see that tongue come out, I'm going to just die. I'm going to like lay on the floor. Can you even predict a single thing she's gonna do? No. Not gonna lie. She's gonna get something trending. I wanted to No, I'm not gonna say that. Everybody's like buzzing about Miley. Taylor Swift just got here and there's puppies behind me. I mean, I'm completely I'm dying. I'm dying. You're at the MTV VMA's. Tell us about 'cause you have like a crazy following, you're friends with Miley. How did this all come about?

Well, uh all the kids, uh college kids, high school kids. They all just love me. Like, what do you expect out of her? I really don't think this is insane because I really want, I really was thinking about taking her to my prom.

I'm seventeen. I'm a senior in high school, and I go to public school. And I'm a superstar.

And talk to us about like you uploaded the song and how it did and tell us what you did to get that song somewhere.

Oh, right now. I made a fifteen second video A Capello singing my song. I was posting it on Instagram. I got over two hundred comments, females tagging other females. So, from then and there, I knew I'm like I need to make this a song. So, I capitalized off of that, took it to my producer. I was asking him for about three months. He was not believing the song, period. And my official DJ he wasn't believing either. But when I dropped the song on SoundCloud that same night, I posted at least fifty videos. I started posting like eight hundred videos on my Instagram of my fans dancing to my song. And my song did.

Watch me, oh yeah, watch him. If you can sit next to anyone at the VMAs, who would it be? What would you say to them?

Probably, probably Pharrell. He's very interesting. I really like him. I've met him, but I want to like get inside of his head. Maybe even collaborate with him. He's awesome.

Yeah, Nicki Minaj. excited to see her live this weekend. He's killing it right now. So like him. Yeah. Justin Bieber, it's come back. I'm a big fan of Walk the Moon, who is playing right now. They're just playing like randomly on the red carpet. I was also in the middle of an interview and I was like, oh my god! What? I was like freaking out. Um, I have to say I'm actually, I'm I'm pretty excited to see Macklemore, because I think, um, I admire, yeah, we I just saw his new video yesterday and I was like blown away, like, I think it's a great song.

And let's talk about Scream Queens 'cause I am freaking out about it already. I've seen the trailers. I am like, I mean, firstly, like the fact that, I mean you're going to be working with so many awesome people. Like talk about, I mean.

Jamie Lee Curtis is like the sweetest lady in the world. She was so nice. Um, Emma Roberts, yeah. Everyone's been so nice. Like, they're all so, it's like their first acting experience ever.

All over your Instagram. I saw that you were on, you had the the the wheels, the the new thing that everybody, what do they call those things? Gliders. What do you think about those?

I love them. I'm disappointed that I didn't bring it today. Yeah. I kind of forgot how to walk actually. No, it's awesome. That those things are so cool. It's the future.

Does somebody just give them to you, or how how did you end up getting them?

Yeah. And I I know some people who uh have some connections at the the business, so. It's really cool.

And you just moved to LA, right?

Yeah, like three days ago. That's what I'm saying. Uh, I've spent a lot of time here the past few years recording, but I finally made the move, so I'm excited.

Wait, my I have a niece named Amber, okay, who I when we interviewed him, she is she's a fan girl. Huge fan girl. She's like I don't know fourteen or something. Very she's young. But she's obsessed. Obsessed with him. Her name is Amber. Hi Amber, I love you. We also have, we also have to get a shout out to our Y H fan girls. Yes. They love you.

Literally, is it me and you bunch of cheerleaders, or is it like they're a metaphor of something you represent with cheerleaders?

No, I'm never a literal guy. You know, there's always something deeper. There's always a deeper meaning. Um, a cheerleader's basically anybody who's that support system for you.

A lot of people might not realize that your song was out like three years ago in Europe, right? And it just now became a hit in the U S.

It's it's old. It's pretty old. Yeah. But, you know what, um, I think good songs are very, they're timeless, really. You know, so um, that's kind of like my trick.

I just want to point out too that it's the first Reggae song, right? To be number one for like over twenty years. Which is crazy.

We've broken a lot of records, you know. So, it's a good thing we're making we're making them at the same time. It's a triple, it's three singles, um, and then the album is to follow.

What's the meaning? What's the sound?

Well, I wanted there to be like three different vibes on there, without, you know, without giving everything away, because I have a album I'm super proud of as well.

I like this outfit. You gotta get a look at this dude's outfit that he's got on. Wow, what? What are those shoes?

Givenchy. You got that. Givenchy. Let's get it. The glasses kinda like my style, 'cause my eyes are very sensitive to the light. You know, so I get to I have an excuse to wear them on the inside.

I was gonna say, there's there's some people who can pull off like they just want to wear sunglasses inside to be cool, but like. You're doing it well. You're doing it well. You're pulling it off. Oh my gosh, I love it. Okay, first of all, you almost adopted a fan. Let's discuss that story because that could be one of the craziest like fan girl out of control stories I've ever heard.

It was the it was the craziest fan experience I've ever had. Uh, I was literally mid-signing this paper. I didn't know what it was. I figured it was just like a receipt or something. I don't know. It was dark, loud, chaotic. I didn't know what was happening. And as I was signing it, I heard someone say in the background like, oh, adoption paper. I'm like, wait, what? And so I had my manager come over, they shine shine a light on it. It was completely legit. Lawyers signed it, parents signed it. Yeah, he ripped it up, the girl started crying. It was a bad bad news.

Like her parents were they okay with that?

I mean, maybe she forged it or something, but it was just a really weird situation. Like, she was hysterically crying in front of like hundreds of fans. And like it was really quiet, and it was really weird.

Broke her heart.

Let's talk about the fact that you are the definition of young Hollywood. If anyone can be Young Hollywood, it's Baddie Winkle. I'd like to be an inspiration to older people. No, it's not easy at all. So you're gonna be great. They don't do much and they should get out and live. So what is your message out there for Young Hollywood? Have a good time. What is your message out there for Young Hollywood? What's your advice to them?

Okay, my message is to be always true to yourself. Be kind to everyone. Put a smile on your face because if you have a smile on your face, people will smile back.

Oh, it's been amazing. I mean, I think it's been such a cool switch in the industry to see that no longer are there gatekeepers that kinda control what is popular and what's not. Like now the people decide like anybody has the opportunity to put stuff on the web and use social media to make a career happen. And it's um it allows for so much unique and amazing content to be done that never would have been done before.

True. It's like a whole another generation, a whole another world of how things are done. And you're like leading it. You're one of the one of the people leading it.
