Incarcerated rapper Lil Wayne is facing a new legal woe - his former manager is suing him for fraud and breach of contract after he allegedly failed to pay for her services.
Melissa Philipian was reportedly fired by the Lollipop hitmaker, real name Dwayne Carter, Jr., in 2005 after booking what he considered to be a sub-par hotel room.
She initially filed suit against the star in 2006, claiming he owed her wages from shows booked in the months prior to her dismissal. Wayne denied her accusations and insisted he never signed a contract with her, but the case was settled out of court for $375,000.
However, Philipian is now said to have obtained video evidence proving Wayne lied under oath during the 2006 court proceedings because he allegedly acknowledges her work as his manager and praises her for her accomplishments, reports HipHopDX.com.
She has now filed a new lawsuit against her former boss, citing him for fraud, civil conspiracy, breach of contract and tortuous interference. His label bosses at Cash Money and Universal Music Group have also been named in the legal action.
Wayne is currently serving time at New York's Rikers Island prison for a weapons possession charge.
