Jamie Foxx has sent comic book fans into a frenzy by sparking rumors he is in talks to play the villain in the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man sequel.
The Oscar winner is reportedly being considered for the role of Electro, a Spider-Man foe who can control electricity, in director Marc Webb's follow-up to this year's (12) hit blockbuster.
Foxx took to his Twitter.com page on Thursday (01Nov12) and fueled speculation by writing, "Dressed up as Electro for Halloween last night. Costume fits well."
The movie, which is set to feature Andrew Garfield as the web-slinging superhero, is scheduled to hit theatres in May 2014.
