Young Hollywood

I forget sixth grade. What do you learn in sixth grade? Quvenzhané Wallis: Um we do dividing by decimals in math. Okay. A lot of reading.

Young Hollywood

I know, right? And now Annie, first of all, the helicopter. Being on that helicopter and I know this was not CGI. You really were on a helicopter in New York City. And I know that you were like up there for hours. Basically, it was like you and Jamie. I don't like heights. Does that not freak you out? Quvenzhané Wallis: No.

Young Hollywood

It didn't? Quvenzhané Wallis: It didn't. It doesn't freak me out. Really? And that day, I was actually kind of like nauseated that day. So we had like a bag on standby. So it was like hilarious. But I I

Young Hollywood

Because you make a joke in the movie that you would throw up. Quvenzhané Wallis: Yeah. So it was real. For real. Actually.

Young Hollywood

You didn't puke on Jamie Fox? Quvenzhané Wallis: No, I didn't.

Young Hollywood

So talk to me about the chemistry with Jamie. Because I thought you had a ton of chemistry. Quvenzhané Wallis: He's awesome. I love him. He's so funny. He's so nice. And if you ever feel sad, just call Jamie.

Young Hollywood

Will you give me his number? You told me, call him if I'm sad. I mean, I'm sad all the time. I gotta call Jamie. You guys should have it right now? Quvenzhané Wallis: Yeah.

Young Hollywood

Do you have a you have a cell phone? Well, he has a he's a cell phone magnet in this film. Like Do true. And then working with Cameron. I know you said that she gave you some really great advice. Quvenzhané Wallis: Yes, she said to just to always be yourself and have fun.

Young Hollywood

And did did you have fun on the set? Long hours, right? Quvenzhané Wallis: Yeah, but it was fun.

Young Hollywood

And um Sia. I know Sia did all the music. Quvenzhané Wallis: Yes, she's like

Young Hollywood

And I think the lyric video is coming out that you did for it. Was it opportunity? Quvenzhané Wallis: Yeah. That has came out. It is really awesome. I watched it like a couple like a week or so ago and it was really awesome. It was like Sia and like the beginning and then it changed to me. So it was really awesome.

Young Hollywood

The last time you were here, you were so into Beyonce. And that was you. I we did a whole Beyonce dance. You told me I was a terrible dancer. You told me I hurt your eyes. But then you said you were kidding, which was very nice of you. Um, who are you listening to now? Like who are sort of some of your favorite? Quvenzhané Wallis: Um, two of the songs that I am listening to recently uh was Break Free and Chandelier. Break Free, Ariana Grande. And Chandelier, Sia.

Young Hollywood

I need you here to like teach me what's cool, what's happening. But I know you were obsessed with Beyonce and I think since you were here last, you met her? Quvenzhané Wallis: I was at a concert of hers and they asked if I could go meet her and take a picture with her.

Young Hollywood

And they asked you? Quvenzhané Wallis: Like they asked me if I wanted to go and I was like, yes.

Young Hollywood

Let me think about it. I don't know. I'll clear my schedule. Quvenzhané Wallis: That was like a yes right away cuz like I am a big Beyonce fan and her baby was backstage also.

Young Hollywood

You met Blue Ivy? Stop it right now. Can I touch you? ET So, what are you into now fashion wise? What are your sort of your favorites? Quvenzhané Wallis: Sparkle stew. Yes, your sparkle shoes. Kick stew. Yeah. Um turquoise.

Young Hollywood

Oh. All about the turquoise? Quvenzhané Wallis: Yeah. Yes.

Young Hollywood

What was sort of what what do you think the best experience was working on the film? Did you have a favorite moment? Quvenzhané Wallis: It was all really fun. Everybody was really nice. Being with the Foster Girls was awesome. Having kids around was awesome. All that stuff was pretty cool. So.

Young Hollywood

Do you get starstruck? Quvenzhané Wallis: Yes, but not often. Like, I'm like, oh there it's not like, oh my god, I'm going to cry. But it's just like I get really struck that they're actually here. Not like a bad way. But that they're here and I'm here and it's just it makes me really happy.

Young Hollywood

What was the most you went when you met somebody? Quvenzhané Wallis: I met uh Nick Jonas at the uh Macy's Parade. And I love his new song, Jealous and I was like, I listen to that with my brother. So that was awesome.

Young Hollywood

Do you think he's cute? Quvenzhané Wallis: Sure.

Young Hollywood

Are you old enough to think boys are cute? Quvenzhané Wallis: Yeah. I don't know. Like He's handsome. But I don't know. Like I'm not arguing with you. You and I have the same taste. I mean, I think I would do the same thing that I'm like. But I mean, I'm only eleven. So.

Young Hollywood

Yeah. He might have to wait for you a couple years for you to get a little bit older. He might always be a little bit too old for you. Yeah. Do you is there like any sort of like little seated dance move from Annie you can teach me? Since we danced last time. Quvenzhané Wallis: Uh, I can teach you something from the parade.

Young Hollywood

Oh, yeah. Teach. Okay. It's not really a seat thing. Okay, we can stand. It's kind of hard. It's like Quvenzhané Wallis: Is it the parade wave?

Young Hollywood

No. It's just like a little move. Um, it's okay. I'm going to spread out. You have to jump twice. Okay. I know. So one foot. So one. And then you have to do that. Okay. You have to swipe twice. Not pet twice. This. So try it again. You ready? And then what? There I'm so uncoordinated. It's ridiculous. Okay, this is what I want you to do. I just want you to jump twice on this foot and then jump twice on this foot. I can do that. And now. What can you do with it? You have to add this part. You have to add this. Okay, um, I'm just gonna sit down. And so will I. Thank you for coming in. Great to see you again. You're the best. I love hanging out with you and I'm going to hang out with you more. So I can get a few phone numbers out of your thing and learn more dance moves. Till next time. Quvenzhané Wallis: Till next time.
