James Franco has signed on to direct a movie adaptation of a Rolling Stone article about a stripper's wild times in Florida.
David Kushner wrote the piece Zola Tells All: The Real Story Behind the Greatest Stripper Saga Ever Tweeted after studying Aziah 'Zola' Wells' viral tale of prostitution and murder.
Franco will also produce the movie from a script written by Andrew Neel and Mike Roberts, who worked with the 127 Hours actor on his recent project Goat.
The Rolling Stone article came out in November (15).
