Now, the hip-hop star reveals he was in the hospital at showtime - and has been forced to scrap his upcoming concerts.
He says, "There was an accident at my house and I fractured my hand. I had to go and get surgery done. It's the new type of surgery they're doing now and I get to take the cast off in a week and a half."
Pitbull's doctors have even forbidden the star from flying, but he's refusing to go into detail about how the injury occured.
He adds, "The thing is it can get swollen and if it gets swollen they have to do the whole process (again), so I won't be performing until they take off the cast."
