Haunted Aisles & Killer Collectibles: Your Guide To Spirit Halloween 2025!

Written by Cameron Long. Published: September 07 2025

Halloween has its own Pandora’s Box. But instead of unleashing vast, uncontrollable consequences, it spills out something much more intriguing: killer clowns, haunted dolls, and horror icons like Michael Myers and Ghostface. And the best part? This Pandora’s Box, dressed as a department store, is most likely lurking just down the road in your local strip mall.

We’re talking, of course, about Spirit Halloween, the seasonal shrine every horror fan flocks to in September and October (bonus points if you show up with a pumpkin spice latte in hand).

Starting in the early-'80s, this store has grown into a massive success. Even through global disruptions and supply chain nightmares, it somehow keeps thriving, floating comfortably in its own pool of blood-red success. So, consider this your official guide to the 2025 season. We’ll dig into the classics, the newcomers, and everything in between, so you know exactly what awaits behind their doors this Halloween season.

Art the Clown

Kicking things off with one of the 21st century’s most notorious horror icons, we’ve got Art the Clown, the bloodthirsty, silent menace from the Terrifier franchise who has a knack for black-and-white makeup routines, pedaling around on a tricycle, and, oh, yeah, carving up anyone unlucky enough to land on his personal hit list. With a cult following this big, Spirit clearly did their homework. They’ve packed their shelves (and website) with all kinds of Art-inspired goodies, from additions to the ever-popular Horror Babies collection to busts, side-steppers, costumes, T-shirts, and my personal favorite: the towering 6-foot animatronic of Art donning his now-iconic Santa costume from Terrifier 3.

Killer Dolls

For those of you who suffer from pediophobia, aka the fear of dolls, well, I’m right there with you. There’s something about aged porcelain, lifeless eyes, and tiny manufactured bodies that just give me the heebie-jeebies.

Spirit Halloween has fully embraced this common fear, offering an array of dolls in all shapes and sizes, usually inspired by films where we’ve seen these tiny killers sit innocently on shelves… before turning on their unfortunate owners. This year, you’ll find newcomers like Annabelle and M3GAN, alongside tributes to iconic horror dolls such as the clown from Poltergeist and the king of killer dolls himself, Chucky.

But Spirit’s creative team hasn’t stopped there. They’ve also crafted original dolls, including Gutsy Gwen, Snackin’ Steve, and Eerie Emma. While these don’t have the same cinematic novelty, they’re still guaranteed to make you pick up the pace when you pass them in the aisle.

Horror Icons

You know them, and you love them (at least from afar and safely on your TV). But what would slasher season be without the slashers themselves? Jason Voorhees, Leatherface, Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers, Ghostface… they all have a seat at this morbid council.

And, of course, each comes with its own items you can take home (never thought I’d encourage readers to adopt homicidal horrors, but here we are).

There are almost too many to mention, but if we had to narrow it down, I’d point you toward the Welcome to Camp Crystal Lake coffee mug, Michael Myers plush slippers, or the Ghostface sun catcher. Most of the villains also have sweatpants, bobbleheads, and keychains if that’s more your speed.

VHS Tape

One of the most unique collectibles at Spirit Halloween is their signature VHS tapes. These collector’s boxes perfectly capture the retro nostalgia that so many of us crave around Halloween.

This year, they’re available for films like Beetlejuice, Frankenstein, Child’s Play, The Exorcist, and, to no surprise, Terrifier. Not only are they fun to look at, with detailed images on the front and back, cast and crew info, and a film synopsis, but each box also comes with a patch, a button, a decal, and a lanyard.

For collectors like me, these are definitely worth hunting down. If you’re not a collector, they’re still worth grabbing from the shelf to admire before moving on with your haunted adventures.

Animatronics

Here we are, ghouls and goblins, we’ve made it to the finale. The part you’ve surely been waiting for, because, if this beloved store is known for anything, it’s for having some of the most intriguing, affordable, and widely available animatronics on the market.

Starting with the “oldies but goodies” of the animatronic department, we have the familiar faces: a 6'3" Michael Myers, a chainsaw-wielding Leatherface, Young-hee from "Squid Game", Valak from the Conjuring universe, and Sam from Trick r’ Treat, quietly perched on a haybale, box cutter in hand. These classics do the trick, and thanks to their notoriety, they tend to sell pretty well.

This giant towers over you, turns her head with that creepy stare, and is a must-see for any Halloween or Squid Game fan. This display piece is only at select Spirit Halloween stores, and the Flagship is the very first to have her on the floor. However, the real magic lies with the original monsters and creatures conceived by Spirit’s creative team. Who would’ve thought that a giant, mutated sewer rat, with bulging black eyes, a tattered shirt, and bony, outstretched hands, would strike fear in consumers? Oh… literally anyone? Okay. Additionally, tucked away in their vault of horrors, you’ll find an evil trick-or-treater named Trixie, who really gives me the creeps, a miniature grave dancer guaranteed to raise goosebumps, and even a Bonnie Strings, a giant marionette that might honestly need to be destroyed by fire.

No matter your preferred flavor of fright, Spirit is sure to have the perfect treat for you. From the malice and angst of their more terrifying residents to the family-friendly selections in the costume department, the store has everything you need to fully immerse yourself in the Halloween season, which just might be the actual most wonderful time of the year. There, I said it!
