Pop star Christina Milian is grateful to have moved past her marriage hell to producer The-Dream, so they can co-parent their young daughter without any drama.
The singer was heavily pregnant with little Violet in February, 2010, when The-Dream filed for divorce to end their five-month marriage amid rumors of his infidelity.
She gave birth days later and spent the following months fighting with her ex through the court system.
Their divorce was finalized in 2011 and now Milian reveals the former couple is on "great" terms as the stars navigate how best to raise Violet while Milian films her new reality TV show, Christina Milian Turned Up, which also features the tot.
She explains, "(Violet's) father and I, we're in a really great place. He and I have grown into this really great place, this partnership as part of our parenting now, and he trusts me. At the end of the day, I'm Violet's mom and I want the best for her and he understands..."
And Milian reveals her ex has given her permission to include their daughter on her new show, adding, "I definitely asked him permission, we talked about it; we talked about what we felt was right for her, how much time (in front of the camera)... I wanna protect my daughter's privacy as well."
