Marvel fans are always excited to see the new adventures of favorite characters, especially the most hilarious ones, like Scott Lang. The week, the first trailer for Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was released, welcoming the fans to enter and investigate the Quantum Realm. Let’s see what the “science-gang” is up to this time!

Where We Left Off

Here’s a quick rundown of the events that you need to remember before watching the new movie. Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) tried to find and save Hope’s mom, Janet (Michelle Pfeiffer), from the Quantum Realm, which they successfully do. Later, while Scott investigates the Realm, Pym, along with his wife and daughter, turn to dust because of Thanos’s "snap". Scott gets trapped in the Realm but 5 years later manages to escape it and reunites with his daughter Cassie, who survived the Snap. He brings the idea of time-traveling and helps the Avengers defeat Thanos. After the famous battle and the Blip, Scott, Cassie, and Hope are finally back together, watching the fireworks and celebrating their victory.

Where We're Headed Now

The new installment of Ant-Man saga promises to be even more awesome and interesting than its predecessors, as we finally get to properly discover the Quantum Realm. From the very first scene in the trailer, we can surely say that there’ll be no shortage of humor and sarcasm. We see Lang, happy about his improvement and life path from a convicted felon to an Avenger to defeating Thanos, but is slightly bothered by the fact that the public doesn't seem to appreciate him (which we got a glimpse of in Endgame when a couple of kids wanted their picture taken with Hulk but didn't seem to even know who Scott was at all). He, along with his “science-friends” and daughter Cassie (Kathryn Newton), who has now become older and is interested in quantum physics, discuss the possibilities of contacting the inhabitants of the Quantum Realm. Cassie has created a special device that works like a satellite for the Realm. Janet thinks the idea of sending a signal to down there a dangerous; however, before they manage to turn it off, something goes wrong and everyone gets sucked inside the satellite and into the Realm. The heroes are separated and are trying to find each other. Janet confesses that she hasn’t told her family everything that happened to her while she was stuck in here the last time, and that there’s definitely something to be afraid of. In the end, we see Scott, Hope, and Cassie (who now has her own super-suit) facing new dangers. The Quantum Realm is a whole big universe that exists parallel to our world. Through their journey, the characters encounter a bunch of different species, cool weapons, machines, and even buildings, making this new universe look amazing. The Realm is truly fascinating, peculiar, and beautiful, yet there’s something a little terrifying about its unkown nature...

A New Villain

There’s a formidable new enemy out there - Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors). While technically this is Kang’s debut in the MCU, he is actually a “variant” of He Who Remains (aka Immortus), whom we were first introduced to in the Disney+ series "Loki". Kang has appeared in many Marvel Comics as a supervillain, an opponent of the Avengers and Fantastic Four. According to the comics, Kang is able to time-travel, control the past, and gain technology from the future. If the movie version of Kang is just as dangerous as the one described in comics, Scott and his friend are in serious trouble. Was Janet afraid of Kang the Conqueror, or is there another, more deadly threat and enemy in the Quantum Realm?
