British actor Mikey North is engaged to marry his girlfriend.

North, who plays bad boy Gary Windass in U.K. soap opera Coronation Street, proposed to his partner Rachael Isherwood on her 30th birthday.

The couple started dating 18 months ago after they met in a bar in Manchester, England.
