"The White Lotus" Season 3 Embracing The Culture Of Its Asian Locale!
The hit HBO anthology series “The White Lotus” is coming back and better than ever with their third iteration. The seasons have previously explored locations including Maui and Sicily. This time, they’ve set their sights on the beautiful and lush landscapes of Thailand. Following the past season’s inclusion of each city’s cultural heritage, Thailand will be no different. While Season 1 carried the topical theme of money and Season 2 with sex, Season 3 is reported to be influenced by Asian sensibilities in regard to death and spirituality. We’re sure to see the influences shine throughout for an unforgettable season.
This season also continues its tradition of having a star-studded cast. Natasha Rothwell will be making a surprise re-appearance from her past run as Belinda, the spa manager of the Maui location in Season 1. Details as to what she is doing remain unknown, but it’s definitely a welcome addition to the season. Another notable name making an appearance is none other than Lisa of K-Pop girl group BLACKPINK. She stars as one of the resort employees, showcasing her Thai heritage with her first acting role. Other names like Patrick Schwarzenegger, Jason Isaacs, Walton Goggins, Aimee Lou Wood, Carrie Coon, Parker Posey, and Leslie Bibb are also stated to be starring in the project as well. They will all be guests at the resort, guiding us through the gut-wrenching (in a good way!) experience of "The White Lotus".
Unfortunately, the breakout star of the show, Jennifer Coolidge, is not making any appearances for this show’s season. After the passing of Coolidge’s character in Season 2, the beloved actress has been cut from the current production.
Stay tuned on February 16th to catch the third season of the hit show on Max!
