Feeling the lingering effects of cuffing season being in the rearview window? As the months steadily become warmer, we continue to crave the perfect movie to cuddle under a blanket with a loved one. Here’s some of our favorite rom-coms on Netflix that are sure to keep the lovey-dovey vibe alive well into Summer!

1. Anyone But You

The surprise sleeper hit from 2023, the Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell rom-com became a box office hit and has been deemed as the revitalizer of the genre after having unfortunately fallen off in recent years. Inspired by the Shakespearean play Much Ado About Nothing, this film has the perfect amount of angst and chemistry, thanks to the casting, to fill you with all the feels for the holiday season.

2. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before

Before we had our rom-com dreams fulfilled with Anyone but You, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before was doing massive legwork. Based on the book of the same name, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is the smash-hit teen rom-com that introduced us all to the talents of Lana Condor and Noah Centineo. The film, which follows the classic fake-dating trope, had us swooning in 2018 over the overwhelming chemistry between the two co-stars. This film is perfect for any season!

3. Someone Great

Someone Great saw a continuation of Gina Rodriguez in her best element; playing a lead in a romance. After Jenny, played by Rodriguez, lands her dream job in California, her boyfriend of nine years dumps her. To celebrate her job and have one last farewell before she moves, her two best friends take her out on the town for a night she won’t forget. While this doesn’t follow the traditional elements laid out by rom-coms, we can assure you this movie is a homage to the genre. Someone Great captures the title perfectly -- that while the focus is less on finding the perfect person, the friends you have are the real romance in your life.

4. Set It Up

In this Netflix original movie, two assistants, Zoey Dutch and Glen Powell, bond over their distaste of their respective bosses. In order for each of their bosses to ease up on the commanding hand they hold over them, they concoct a plan to get their bosses to date each other. This comedy was a great dive into rom-com and explores the genre perfectly. For fans of angsty love stories and mischievous affairs, Set It Up is perfect for you.
