Nina Dobrev is a qualified scuba diver

Actress Nina Dobrev can add adventurer to her resume after becoming a certified diver over the Christmas (11) holiday.

The Vampire Diaries star spent her festive break on a sporting vacation, and kept her Twitter.com followers updated with photos of her skiing.

Dobrev also took a Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) course during her holiday, and she successfully completed the challenge.

In a post on her page on the microblogging site, she writes, "Beyond excited to share that I'm officially an Open Water PADI CERTIFIED DIVER!"
