The other day, I was walking through this party for Comic-Con and some girl came up to me and she was wearing a dress and the dress was Ian Somerhalder's face.

Probably would not want to be you because you get too way too much attention.

I'd be Paul Wesley.

I kind of want to know what it would be like to be Angelina Jolie or Brad Pitt or someone.

Like the craziness that it would, you know, having what five, is it six, is it seven kids now?

I I don't even know.

I would look like James Dean, I'd have like, you know, this really cool air.

Yeah, I would when I was when I was young, I always wanted to be um I was always fascinated with whales and just thought how cool would it be, man, to just cruise around.

I would be a tropical whale though.

I'd be chilling out in all those really great tropical Yeah, you know, and you could you could kind of swim underneath and you could have a great view of all the women in their little bathing suits and stuff.

So, she does all the writing and I think the fans really appreciate that and I know she really appreciates the fans.

How have you grown, how have you evolved since the start of the show?

Four years of exceptional amounts of growth.

How have you evolved and how have you changed since the show started?

Immensely.

I mean, it it's crazy.

I've learned and grown.

I've digressed in every way.

I I was 20 or 21 when I started the show.

Now, I'm 24 and it's crazy.

I mean, it's the first part of my 20s and it's been such a crazy ride in the best kind of way and I've been to so many places and traveled.

Who's changed the most?

Uh Ian, it's all gone to his head.

I think we've grown exponentially, all of us.

Um in in in these four years.

Gone from girl to woman.

It's awesome.

In front of the whole world.

Yeah, that's the that's the crazy part.

One of my dearest friends and and a business partner of mine, this guy named William Hogan.

Butch Hogan is his name.

We we always joke about this thing GMB, GMB, which is grown man business.

We're grown ups now.

I met him when I was 16 and he was 23 and we just destroyed New York City together.

Actually, New York City destroyed us together.

I learned that, you know, we always joke about this term and I was literally a couple days ago, I was just sitting on my deck with my little my man that I haven't seen in months because I've been out working and I just thought, oh, man, I'm back, I'm home.

You work anywhere between 12, 15, 17 hours a day.

You come home, you know, you try and fit in your meditation time, maybe your yoga time, you know, you have to spend time with the with the little ones.

You're you're like I'm a dad.

I thought you meant GTL like like gym tan laundry, like the Jersey Shore.

Oh my God.

And going into season 5, I'm sure you always try to keep it fresh.

How will it be a fresh take on another season?

The stories are always evolving and so that is a big factor, but I think we all bring our own experiences and I just finished a comedy film, which was so different for me and I'm I'm trying to apply some of that onto the show now and Really?

Yeah.

So, I'm just trying to make Elena a little lighter.

I don't know if it'll make the show.

So, if you watch it and you're like, no, she's just as mopy as normal.

Um, I tried.

I improved a little bit, but they cut it out if they did.

Oh, I mean, I don't remember.

It's improved.

It goes in and out and happens and then it's gone.

But anyway, we've been I've been playing a little bit more and that's been it's been cool.
