Hi there. I'm Ron Burgundy. And this is the cast of Run This Town. JK it's Ben Platt, Nina Dobrev, and Mena Massoud and we're here to play Never Have I Ever.
Uh I've definitely stolen many shoes. And a shirt or two.
Only my duty as an omni celebrity.
Yeah. I um was late to go to the airport. I was on a tiny show that involved vampires. A tiny show called Vampires. And we had just finished shooting a scene and I actually didn't realize this at the time but when the cop pulled over I knew I was in trouble. I knew I was definitely gonna get a ticket because I was speeding so fast. And When he came up to the car I was like ready to use all these excuses and then instead of saying, "Ma'am, do you know how fast you were going?" He said, "Ma'am, are you okay?" And I was like, "What do you mean, why?" And then I looked in the mirror and I realized that I hadn't washed off my makeup.
Oh, that's a good story.
On me. And so then I milked it and I was like, "I gotta go. I'm just I gotta get out of here." And he was like, "Okay, all right, all right, how can I help you?" And I was like, "It just it's bad. I just I had to go. I'm sorry that I was speeding." He's like, "It's fine, ma'am, it's all right." And I was like, "Okay."
Wait, did you tell him it was makeup or no?
No.
Well then you didn't really use your celebrity, you used your intelligence.
Thanks.
Yeah, probably done that too.
Five minutes to go closer to my house, they're not they're not leaving my house. Uh, felt their presence maybe? Is that does that count?
Yeah, actually, so I was I was looking for a place in Toronto. We went into this one house we thought it was like a really great deal. And then the guy showing us the house was like uh is it Patrick Bateman from American Psycho? Yes. Um he kind of was like that. And then we went home and we're like, "Yeah, we're gonna take this place, it's such a good deal, man." We're like, "Yeah, we're pumped." And then a couple of hours later at like almost exactly the same time, we uh called each other and we're like, "Dude, I'm getting bad feelings about this." And it was literally like unlike anything I've ever felt in my life. It was definitely possessed.
I don't think I've ever gone into a first date without an escape plan. Because I'm a hugely anxious person, and so if things get awkward, I have to find a way out.
What's your method? What do you do?
Oh, man. I have a couple of different ones. In in New York, I can say like someone's coming to visit me and I have to let them into my apartment. Cuz like my family comes to visit a lot and I'm the only one from my family near that lives in New York, so I'm like, "Oh, I gotta let my dad in." And like I have the keys. Or I pretend I have a dog sometimes that I have to let out. I don't have a dog.
No. You're go you're giving away all your tricks.
Yeah, just be careful.
So next time you're on a date with Ben Platt and he says he has to go feed his dog It means you suck.
Ooh, like by accident? Yeah, that sucks. I do that too. I do that all the time. I You take a screenshot to show Meaning to send it to somebody else, to make fun of said person. And then you send it to the said person and then it's super awkward. Then you gotta spin it. Yeah. Like trying to reset my phone and I accidentally took a picture of what you said. I don't know. What? Don't use that, guys. Come up with something better. So just stick to the date ones.
