Hailee Steinfeld's Romeo will be newcomer Douglas Booth

Little-known British star Douglas Booth will romance True Grit actress Hailee Steinfeld in a new adaptation of William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet.

The 19-year-old actor, who played gay pop star Boy George as a teen in a TV movie, has been cast as the male lead as the cast for the film comes together around 14-year-old 2011 Oscar nominee Steinfeld.

Variety reports Holly Hunter, Kodi-Smit-McPhee and Ed Westwick are also attached to the project, which will shoot in Italy this summer (11).
