Actress Gina Rodriguez is reportedly heading to Netflix as the voice of Carmen Sandiego in a new animated series.

The Jane the Virgin star has reportedly signed on to voice the thief character based on the videogame series Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? According to TheTracking-Board.com, the actress will star in 20 episodes for the streaming service.

Confirming the casting news on Twitter where a fan asked if the reports were true, she wrote, "I already have the fedora and coat. So it's definitely true."

"Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?," she added on Saturday (15Apr17).

Lynne Thigpen voiced Sandiego in a TV series from 1991 to 1995.

Jennifer Lopez reportedly picked up the rights to the videogame franchise in 2011 in a bid to produce and potentially star in a movie about the red-coated criminal, but the project never came to fruition.
